So many of us cardmakers are certainly going to use these techniques to, as you say, "share handmade kindness" this holiday season and spread a little cheer! I love the idea of a card made of vellum, it looks very noble and has this timeless elegance. A neighbor of my parents' died this week (she was 93, I've known her all my life) and I made a condolence card with this technique. It looks so beautiful, I think the vellum gives it a softer look, whereas normal paper/cardstock sometimes can come across rather harsh.
