Thank you, Lee. Yes, it is addictive. Once I get going, three or four hours pass and it is 2am. It's fun experimenting with different gels, fluids, camera angles.... cool results! I use MIOPS Splash.

Great way to get your timing down is to take your iPhone slow Motion video and you can slow it down by scrubbing it and find out the exact location of all your drops

Nick, I like my MIOPS SPLASH because I can make 1 or 2 microsecond adjustments if necessary rather than using a dial with no markings. I set my camera on 1/2second and let the Miops trigger the flash... works great.

Hi David don't stress I am all good I have not long started a new job so I have just been bedding my self in. I will be starting my videos back up very soon I promise I have had some nd filters so I will be going out trying my hand at some landscape and long exposure photography. Plus I have had a new jumping spider and mantis so lots to come my friend. I was in Glasgow and Edinburgh last week working and wished I had taken my camera with me now but I will be back up there soon for a day or 2.

Hi Lee, this is a great video, I hope to try it someday. You have been an inspiration to me. In 2017 I got a Canon 100 mm macro lens. I found using it very frustrating. So I put the lens away for a while. Then I made a search to find out what I could photograph with it and found your KZbin videos. try using olympus cameras with "pro capture" built in. It starts taking 30fps on depressing the shutter release half way and puts them into temporary buffer until you fully depress the shutter button. just make sure you've got your focusing right, together with the right shutter and aperature settings dialed in before you start shooting.

I have to say how much I have enjoyed your videos and have had such fun trying the dandelion and copper wire droplets. Though I say it myself the results are not half bad , I had a good teacherI . I so wanted to try the colliding water droplets but I have just seen the price of the splash art kit and so I will have to be patient and wait to see what wonderful ideas you show us next.

Hi Lee what connection do you put in the Camera I have a 500d but the connection that has slot in it does not fit will the pin fit into the remote trigger socket and the fire off the Camera that way Thanks

Hi Lee I have been trying out my Water Splash Kit and have added the gum as you said but it only works for a little while and then instead of two drops coming out only one drop comes out have you had the same problem and if you have how have you fixed it I have had some decent photos from it but this problem occurred Thanks George Brogan

Hi Buddy sorry for the late response I have been working away. Yes mate I have had the same trouble. I found out that you need to keep the mixture you are going to use out and let it get to room temperature first. And keep the tank full as when it goes down to low I have to keep changing the settings. Hope this helps out my friend and thank you for asking for help your a star

@@LeeHallphotography Hi Lee if I found if I pulled out the first plug at the left hand side of the back of the box and plugged in again and it started to drop two drops after that so you could try the same thing and see if it works for you I have done it quite a few times and luckily it has worked every time keep my fingers crossed that it keeps on doing it it is okay about your response time I am not going anywhere just staying in the house and your working I have been retired 57 years ago due to a mining accident and a stone fell out of the roof and broke my back in two places and have been confined to a wheelchair since I was 19 so keep safe and Thanks again for your response

Great video and great images. But who told you to go through my inventory? I own both a SplashArt Kit and the very same color gels 😂 I was a bit surprised when you used the speedlites aimed at the water drops rather than a colored background, as I have been told that you need to light up the background which is then picked up by the water. Lol hi buddy I had the water in the gray tray as my background so all I need to do was light the water up with the gells. I did try lifting the background up but was not happy with the way it looked. Any way when are you going to put your video up you have been doing. Come on mate you can do it.

@@LeeHallphotography I have had to relocate to a different region of the country, so I could only fit so much in the suitcase, but I might have some bits and bobs for a small video when my school and depression ain't doing my head in. But I will get something put together when the time is right :)

My question: I went on Amazon to buy the Dettol, but found that they have a wide variety of liquids under that name. Can you let me (and other viewers) know exactly the type of Dettol you are using in the video. I tried to read the smaller print of the Dettol label in the video but found it too blurry to be legible.

Anyone who use Leica SL og Panasonic S1? I have used Nikon and Fuji without problems. I bought the right kabel for trickering. A microjack to minijack, but nothing happens? 😢

It's "made easy" true. But the setup using a "splash art kit" isn't that "easy". I would have liked to see ways to get the two drop method without buying something for 100-200 Euro.
