I learned to play this in 1 day! Not kidding you. It's not that hard once you get to know the left parts.. the chorus is hard at first, but it became easy for me to play! I didn't follow the midi 'cause i'm trying to improve my sight-reading skills. But i listen to this to know the rhythm!

I dont like the sound which he and the most other channels with synthesia videos use. It sounds more like a cembalo, hard, without feelings and stuff. Search for Peter PlutaX and Marioverehrer, these guys use a lovely piano sound.

Trying to learn the songs on this album, I dont play piano to begin with, but know basic stuff, since ive played guitar for almost 10 years and have developed an interest for the piano - and i must say that these songs are hard as fook! I guess it's more or less because as a guitarist im not used to play a melody on each hand. Does anyone have a tip on whether i should first learn to play the right and left hand individually, then combine them - or just try to learn all in one?

I've played piano for 6 years now, honestly depends on the song usually the left is just the bass of the song with a lot of repetition so I find it easier. And then right is the main melody so it is a bit harder I find. Now I just play them together because I've got a lot of practice and most of Einaudi's songs are easy to pick up.

I find that if I am struggling with a part of a song because of coordination, the easiest thing is to try to play both hands on that part really slowly until you force your brain and muscles into the correct rhythm (requires patience) and then speed up a little bit at a time and it should work.

Permuh the first time i heard "river flows in you" i immediately bought myself a piano and i had no clue where to start and the first song i learned from using synthesia was river flows in you and believe me it was HARD for a first timer and it took me nearly 2 month. With dedication and passion, you can do it cuz i did it :) and back to the question, i generally start with both hands and just followed where to press just by looking at synthesia. till now, im still doing this and you pretty much get the hang it with ur left hand naturally hitting chords.

The intro song is necessary and a part of the original, I think it's great as it gives a calm beginning to what eventually becomes an emotional and heartfelt song when played on grand piano. But that's my opinion.
