I have never seen any crocheted blankets w/ such low prices in any thrift stores in the State where I live. My favorite item was the heart shaped pillow w/ the crocheted top.❤

I wish our goodwill had that much yarn. It is very rare I found some and if I do they put them in bags. The most I have paid for yarn in bags is about $5 with about 4 - 5 skeins. They don’t have them sitting out like that

This a great way to repurpose yarn. I look for wool sweaters to deconstruct and reuse the yarn. Others but those blankets, deconstruct them and make something new with them. I love this. We have so much fiber waste.

I have picked up some beautiful crochet items at my local Goodwill all for under five dollars and some of them have never been used a whole bunch of prayer shawls that I actually purchased for one dollar each and donated them to my local senior center even though I’m a senior as well they were brand new

The Goodwill stores near me rarely have yarn. I guess I don’t go in there enough to catch the yarn when it comes in. But when I do see it and it’s in good condition, I feel like I’ve won the lottery! Those hats were very cute! Doing a continuous granny square to make a baby blanket is a good idea. I’ve made several adult size blankets that are rectangular granny stitch patterns. I like to start by making 3 regular sized granny squares, then join them together, and begin going around and around until I have the size I need. Hi Glenda and Cody. Good to see your smiling face. I do not donate to Goodwill any more. I like going and looking but hardly ever buy anything now since it's so pricey. If I find nice blankets like you found, I will buy them to donate. Lots of charities would love to have those and the hats. I would have bought the oil lamps Cody found, if not way too pricey, to donate as well. We still have families in WNC and east TN that still need lighting and heaters to use in the tents and sheds they are having to live in due to Hurricane Helene.

I would have grabbed that plushie yarn Cody if you do plushies. That little sewing machine was a janome sewing machine. I have one and it’s a great portable sewing machine. I brought my granddaughter one and couldn’t believe how well it sewed if it had the cords. Someone will love those hats and crochet items. Good finds. ❤️

I was just in our Goodwill this morning 😁. Ours is much more empty than yours and there wasn't a yarn skein or ball to be seen 😕. I really didn't/don't need any lol .. but I HAVE to look 😂. I did see the cutest Candy Land printed fleece blanket that I'm regretting not getting for a great niece, and a DVD on potty training for boys. I texted my sister to see if her grandson is potty trained, and showed her a picture of the cover. She said it works out perfectly bc she intends to start this weekend potty training. So I got that. Also a pair of flannel PJs for me ❤. It's snowing all day so far here, though I need another pair of pajamas like I need more yarn 😆🤣. The snow just made me get em.
