While searching for a stitch pattern for a new afghan. I love this one. I’m actually going to use this pattern with rows of solid colors. White, Purple, Lavender, Turquoise & Dk Teal. If I decide to add a Border is there a stitch pattern that you feel would compliment it ?

Thank you for making this video! Could I offer one suggestion for newbies such as myself? It would be great if the written pattern was present on thetable as you worked, or added in the video. I have trouble reading written patterns and I think you'd make it very easy to understand. Thank you!!

Love the stitch! Great for a lightweight spring or summer Afghan! I was wondering what kind of border would you do for this to give it a nice complete finished look and if you could do a video tutorial on adding a border!
@CreativeGrandma7 жыл бұрын
Carol, I am working on a afghan now using the Red Heart Ombre yarn and will be showing the border as well, not sure what I am going to use for the border yet, but will be showing how to do it. Will be a few weeks in coming.

can you please do a stitch of the week with shell stitch on my picot dot com? You explain it much better!
@mariaozer38517 жыл бұрын
Glenda, I love the fact that you use Bates hooks, they are my very favorite. I don't get why though you include Boye hooks in your give aways. I get disappointed when I don't win the yarn..... but it's kinda ok cause I don't care for those hooks.... LOL
@CreativeGrandma7 жыл бұрын
Hello Maria, I offer the Boye Hooks because it is a full set of hooks in its own case. I love the Susan Bates in-line hooks as you know that is all I use, but you can not buy a full set unless you buy them all seperately. I wish they offered the full sets as I would be getting them. When I buy the full set I can use a discount coupon to buy them, if I have to buy the susan bates hooks seperately then I can not afford to buy them at full price to giveaway. I try to do as many giveaways as I can which means I have to buy what I can get at a good price. I will try to get some susan bates hook when I can for a giveaway and hope you win that giveaway. Thanks for being part of my crochet channel. Love Creative Grandma
@theastewart67217 жыл бұрын
Maria Ozer I used to nay use Susan Bates is lnline hooks. I always thought the Biye hooks weren’t as nice.
@theastewart67217 жыл бұрын
Maria Ozer sorry, my comment posted before I was finished. I ended up having to buy a Boye tapered hook at one point and I was pleasantly surprised. Now I have full sets of both brands and when I start a project I try both hooks to see which kind works better depending on the yarn. I have been surprised to find that sometimes the Boye works better. So now I use both! I never thought that would happen but it did!
@mariaozer38517 жыл бұрын
Thea Stewart strange, but you know what? Whatever works, is my motto.... I just can't with the Boye hooks, no matter what yarn I use they always split it. Maybe it's the way I hold the hook... Whatever, I love crocheting and as long as I can sneak in at least one row I'm happy...
@mariaozer38517 жыл бұрын
Creative Grandma wow, I guess I stupidly didn't think that you paid for all this stuff out of your own pocket. The way you promote AC Moore (which is my favorite craft store btw) they should be giving you the stuff for free.... Anyway I love the stitches together come up with and your tutorials are so clear.. You are such a pro. I love ya
