Sorry, but I accidentally deleted a viewers comment who said he disliked the intro. song because he thought I was playing the roots of every chord in the piece. That is incorrect. I'm playing the 5th of each chord in the verse. I play the 5th and the 3rd chord tones in the bridge. And, in the chorus I'm playing 3rd and 7th chord tones. The TAB chart will be available on Sunday March 30th. - Andrew

I always find I end up falling into playing existing tunes (after starting off improvising/composing) because my ear automatically finds that pleasant, Any tips to avoid this ?

@creativeguitarstudio. Another great lesson. I always watch your videos in full screen and just notice your 11th and 1th fret looks like its need to be recrown. There's a couple of indent on the fret wire. You may want make of this, if you decide to your strat, to a shop have frets worked on. Its only minor wear.

Too bad it's impossible to make a video on finding inspiration. I am unable to compose anything, not due to lack of skill or desire, but due to a lack of inspiration.

no inspiration?! you're not crazy you're LAZY. get over yourself.

jasons comment might sound a bit rude, but he is right, i got into a really long too until someone told me to just simply start writing music again that really helped me, the best way to get inspiration is to just grab your guitar or keyboard or any other instrument and start playing until you find something that sounds like you like it. you should also remember that what you write now doesn't absolutely have to a get in a song, sometimes it's good to write something down en look at it later. hopefully i have helped you a little bit because people said the same thing too, but looking back i realize that they were right

silverblade604 Funny thing: Whenever I play (which is a lot) I find myself playing music from composers far greater than myself - I cannot compete with them.
@silverblade60410 жыл бұрын
justcarcrazy same problem here, but you shouldn't want to sound like those composers. That would be impossible to do and you would only sound like a rip off anyway. besides think about it, most of these composers probably started out just like you and me, for example nickelback started out as a coverband you really shouldn't let that get to you, because the sound is engineered in the studio to

Absolutely, I have played classical guitar for years and finished grade 8 at 13 so it’s not lack of skill but lack of inspiration and original ideas, I find I always end up playing already existing melodies automatically
