I'm glad I'm not the only one, I put up my very first listing and then they deactivated it the next day. I asked for help and guidance and how do I fix it. I got no help at all and they decided to ban my account

You always have to spend money to make it. I have been making hand made jewelry for most of my life my Grandmother taught me and I taught my daughter. She has been in business for14 years she has been on shark tank and has put racks of jewelry in gift stores. It took a lot of blood sweat and tears to get to this point. There is always room to learn, she does a lot of road shows which can be very hard on your body. We have been with maker place since day 1 people are not finding us. Plus store personnel don’t know anything about it. It does cost 110.00 a year to sell on maker place

You’ll have to be very very patient because you won’t sell much at all for any of these. Every single place that’s an alternative to Etsy has failed, unfortunately. I’m giving up Etsy this month due to their ridiculous changes.

I agree. You'll likely need to still drive your own traffic into these platforms because they're pretty new but if you're looking for Etsy alternatives, they can be worth a shot. On the other hand, you can always have your own website which, for me, is still way better compared to these eCommerce marketplaces.

I'm glad you left Etsy out. I tried opening a store using printify and after all the time coming up with a name and making a printify account to connect to them, I was suspended and I don't know why. I didn't get a chance to even discuss what they didn't like. I didn't put anything inappropriate. I feel like my time was robbed. It really took the excitement of making a store away.

It’ll take a while for them to appeal it when you request it. I wouldn’t even bother looking at your emails when you do, awaiting a response, because they won’t send you one. You’re better off checking your shop after AT LEAST a week goes by. From there, check it every few days or so.

Etsy’s seller customer service is horrific, which is why a lot of Etsy sellers (including big ones) are going on strike until Etsy does something about it. People are also making a lot of videos talking about their frustrations and how Etsy treats their sellers like shit even though the sellers are the ones who make the website run. My advice to you? Be loud about it. You will be heard. We need to overwhelm them with our honest frustrations until something is done about it.

Hello... Is there a platform that doesn't demand payment in advance? I am from a low-income family, thus I am not even allowed to obtain a credit card by the bank. I began at the bottom. I use my phone for everything; I didn't even have a laptop. Is there a choice like that? If the platform keeps a little portion of the sales of my digital products, that's fine with me. If you could answer my question. I would really appreciate it.

All of the platforms I recommended in this video does require an upfront payment. But, if you have limited resources, you can start out with Etsy, which has a small listing fee and takes a percentage of your sales, or Gumroad, which allows you to set your price, and they take a small fee per transaction. Hi Debra! The digital products listed must be the seller's original work. According to GoImagine's Handmade Guidelines - "Goimagine allows the sale of various digital products, including but not limited to digital art, printable artwork, digital graphics, templates, and digital patterns. Sellers must ensure that the digital products they list are their original work and do not infringe upon the copyrights or intellectual property rights of others. Digital sellers are responsible for complying with all applicable state laws and regulations related to digital products." Honestly if I'm the one bringing in all of the sales I don't want to give another platform a cut. Like if you won't even let me rank on your SEO but the person I GOT from posting on social media etc you get a portion from? Oh FUCK no. So from now on I'm going to have my products etc on ETSY for more visibility but I'm not going to push customers I EARNED to buy from there. I'm going to create a different platform where it's just like payment processing fees max. Now, if ETSY would rank me or get a sale that I didn't have to work for from there - then sure! Honestly, you really just explained why Etsy is the better option above all of the other platforms you've listed. Allow me to break it down for you: The first platform you stated, it's basically unheard of and is just slowly growing. So you're asking us to basically waste our time and help them grow their business. Leave a booming business for a new baby business..? It's bad enough that it's hard to gain new customers, so why would I make a business move switching from a well known platform to something new and not as known, so build their platform off of the back of my business, that also doesn't have as much traction? (Bear with me people.. Think with logic and not with your heart.) The second platform is similar, except, you eased in that it costs $1k and basically hoping on a wish and prayer that this platform works???? If that's the case, just give your kids $1k and hope they do the dishes that night... In addition to remembering this platform is also not as successful as Etsy. So basically they want you to make them rich without showing proof that they actually work... and you can’t verify if it actually does or not… hmmm… I’m not convinced… The third platform is just for people who handcraft products. Whereas Etsy you can pretty much sell everything, Etsy is like another amazon. Plus, I get the whole "Family" thing, but let's be real, it's about business first and foremost. A smart businessman or woman doesn't join something to feel like they have a "family"(You want a family? Make a FB account, join a group you resonate with, BOOM family!), they're joining because they want to build wealth and financial freedom. It cute to dress it up with flattering words such as charities, but what good is that if a company is basically taking an extra percentage of my earrings and I can't choose which charity I would like to support...? So you're basically saying that this company is charging me extra because they don't want to take their own earnings to put into charity??? Because why make someone give? That has to be illegal, sounds like Uncle Sam to me... It's alllll business love, that's their way of keeping their money while stealing from you and not even giving you the option of which charity you'd like to give to with the money they're basically stealing from you. I get the subscription portion, but I don't understand why not use the money I pay in subscriptions they earn to give to charity..? Why force me? Let me make that's choice... That's because it's business for them, they're just slapping the word "charity" on it, to cover up them stealing and keeping their portion, but making the sellers pay... It's a deal they have set up with those charities... In conclusion, I choose Etsy. Even though their customer support sucks and is the worst I have ever experienced in life. I had to stop at the 3rd platform you suggested.. By the 3rd one, I just felt like I heard all that I needed to hear. But I hope none of this offended you.. Just want people to truly weigh out their options.. I say still use Etsy, have all fingers in each basket! A tree has multiple roots to pull in water flow to one ☝️ tree! Remember that!
