What's the difference between photosites and pixels? Some people talk like they're the same, but then you have others that say it's not?

Backlit sensors in sony can film in the dark without noise. This must be a different technology or different type of sensor.

Do camera light sensors pick up emp's?
@DeadeyeDaily10 ай бұрын
Id think and EMP would disrupt the camera's functioning. 🤔

where is the convergence point of light in the digital cameras, within the lens, or on the sensor? In other words how light travels through a camera and makes images. Most of the photographers do not know the science of photography and cause confusion. thank you.

Things do happen to light in saturated pixels, the signal can be leaked to other pixels in the row which causes a 'blooming' effect. See www.photometrics.com/resources/learningzone/saturationblooming.php Dark current is not the only source of noise, there is also shot noise and read noise.

i don't think that's right. as far as I know they are like reversed led lights. and pick up the freq and temp to get the colour of the light.
