From what I understand is that the Focus Stacking feature is also available on the D780 in menu, not just z6 and z7 cameras, as the D780 has the sensor similar of z6 with similar focus features. (The Nikon ads say also available on D850.)

I can confirm that this feature is available on the D780. I purchased one about 1.5 years ago.

Why does my Z7 have that focus shift function turned off and I cannot activate it, what is the problem with the configuration?

I just bought a z6 II and I'm learning what all I can do with it. Can you use focus with bracketing or would I have to manually focus to use bracketing?

Well explained. I tried exposure bracketing but now can’t get to focus shift option.

My Z6 camera is amazing but why not just call it focus stacking in the menu lol
