good that you did not mill aluminum because you installed movable connectors in the axles, the milling cutter would have pulled into the aluminum your axles would now be broken otherwise a beautiful machine

You should add thrust bearings. Losing a lot of accuracy due to those flex couplings.

Why are you using small stepper motors on cnc shield and big stepper motors? You don't need small ones if you use big ones. :)

Nah man ... Stepper motors are the main thing... Otherwise you can make milling machine manually working on handles no moters only spindle moter will be there . Obviously you can't run cutting tool by hand 😂😂

Stepper motor works on program . Like how much you want it to run on rpm where to stop where to start ... So that's the main thing there

Creative Think, Te aclaro un detalle innecesario en tu montaje, los drivers pololu a4988 no son necesarios insertarlos cuando se usa de salida drivers mas grande, las entradas a sus zócalos pueden ir directamente a los drivers de mayor tamaño, no hay problemas en usar los pines de salida de Arduino a las entradas de los drivers de mayor tamaño, estas desperdiciando 3 pololu a4988 innecesarios
