Why on earth would you need to put the nail in a drill to cut the head of it off🤔 Not to mention you're going to ruin a perfectly good battery.
@advl__3 жыл бұрын
Appreciate the efforts but there are some disastrous design flaws which you can work upon. Sorry for being a critic, but this can get dangerous to viewers who may try to copy you. 1. The SS nail literally melted. What are some better alternatives? 2. Should've used proper battery connectors instead of directly soldering on the battery terminals. The battery material (chemicals) get damaged due to heat, thus reducing battery life. 3. Diode alone is not sufficient for protection, how about adding a fuse of appropriate value? 4. How about PWM switching control (using maybe MOSFETS) for variable output power control and efficiency. Also when it gets touched it should automatically disconnect after few milliseconds for a precise spot weld, after that even if it stays touched, it won't be connected. 5. An assembly setup with a handle like how vertical drills work. If the two terminal probes touch each other by mistake, then it will blow. 6. How about Using an 1:1 isolation transformer between battery and system?

@@chloedevlin6544 basically, you would use a switch which can be controlled (turned on or off ) digitally/ with a digital signal like a 1/high or 0/zero, generated from a digital circuit. This switch can be a MOSFET, Relay or other any other electronic switching device suitable for this application. (Suitability depends on factors like maximum current rating, polarity, switching speed, triggering circuit specs, etc.) For starters, now you can turn things on and off with precise timing with use of this switching devices... For eg. you turn it on for precisely 100milliseconds and then turn it off automatically by using a digital circuit.

@@Quickened1 Just like the path of least resistance is not the only path for current, the highest resistance is not the only resistance. Considering the large currents in this ridiculous "spot welder", Sourav has made a correct observation. In every case, the connections should be mechanically sound before soldering. Solder is not intended to be the current carrier as it's typically 5 to 10 times the resistance of copper, depending on the alloy used, with a much lower melting point than iron, which is about 4 times the resistance of copper. The diode that was soldered in place was absurd. Not just because it was soldered in place, but because there is no way that diode is going to handle the current... and since it's missing at the end, it definitely didn't survive. That's the most likely outcome ... but kaboom has my vote... that would be way cooler.

I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75 /////////////////

The diode is stupid and didn't survive. Do you see it in the end demonstration? No... it blew the first time he tried it and it served NO PURPOSE to begin with.

He obviously had enough power from the battery he was using. A car battery would just deliver more power. The part number for the diode would be BLWN2HELL.
@ravips698 Жыл бұрын
He needs to use steel nails for electrode to ensure better resistance than copper. If your voltage can be reduced to 3V then copper is better else battery will get damaged.Good idea though I prefer a 3V source

Can you explain your comments further please bruh, I'm working on a 1977 toyota pickup and cutting put a the rust , only the body has rust thank God haha 😂 but I need to replace my flooring in The cab , especially in the front part of the cab, where the factory bolts the cab to the frame near the engine firewall it's completely rusted away like there's nothing g holding the body to the frame anymore , i can't afford a welder at the moment and I need this truck for work so I've been looking for ways to weld new flooring in. In also building a full roll cage hidden Inside the body , reinforcing some stuff on the truck since I'm tripling the HP it has currently. All new adjustable coilovers front and new adjustable 4 link coilover in rear to replace the leaf springs , new disc brakes front and rear, HEAVY sound deadening for floor,doors,roof and heavy duty weather stripping replacement. Lowering it a bit to help with handling at high speeds, no power steering ... anyways I'm excited AF for the build trucks factory original everything and everything works except it rained heavy one day and my speaker(yes truck has 1 single speaker ) lol went out. Anyways until I can afford a welder I have to make do with what I got 😂

Why are the solder joints not melting? It means solder has higher melting point than iron or aluminium and if it is so then we can use soldering iron for welding

That's because soldering tin has lower resistance than steel he spot welders it, but honestly this video is a junk. Someone with enough understanding will know there is no diode needed for DC current.

Soldering a wire that will heat up to hundreds of degrees Celsius? Note how the timber handle is brown from the heat... releasing all those toxic fumes from the burning epoxy. This a children school project that should be supervised and then disposed of by a responsible adult. But with millions of views the clever creator is enjoying the $$$ of his effort

@Catalina Ramirez keen observation, no diode at all. May lower power output if diode in place, and Higher output without diode but will make battery shortlived.

The battery is the only power source. There is no other power source to drive current INTO the battery. No diode needed other than to provide some smoke and light on first use. His diode did not limit the current to 10 amps. It self disassembled and let its smoke out shortly after the current exceeded 10 amps.
@iffee100 Жыл бұрын
There is no role of rectifier. As evident he in his final demo used it without diode. I think he added diode to fool us. More over using battery in this way may explode. There is better way to do it instead of diode add a 2.2-5 Ohm /10 watt resistor and at the out put add enough capacitors of 16V ratings. Any one can comment on my suggestion. Thanks
