Great discussion. I'd add - art is often a processing of emotional responses. Artists who are Christians need to beware of elevating emotion over truth, or honoring emotional feeling above what the Scriptures say.

Quality discussion - really appreciated Trip's bit about making sure people have their relationship with God in check and in place too, not just being gifted and having that displayed and worked on. I have seen this so many times, even on a small scale in local church - people who are 'gifted' get put at the front, asked to lead, lead songs, etc, but might not always be in a good place with God, or mature in faith etc, and sometimes this is ignored/overlooked. So important, thank you Trip (and all the others! - Jackie as well, for the reminder of my identity in Christ is most important whatever I do in life, however things are).
