The community tab is not very good. Most of my subscribers don't see my posts.

I have three channels with varying audiences for over 15 years & I believe I create great content in my niches, but the current trends are strangling my channels & I have watched dozen of click-baiters that proport to be giving winning advice (often repeated content) & I don't blame the algorithm as that is only doing what it is PROGRAMED to do which is push media to viewers while focusing on delivering advertising content to the max. YT is still the best free platform, but the trend is now to get creators to pay for audience attention. Many of us are now cancelling our Premier accounts due to this. I hope YT wakes up as TikTok won't far from delivering a free wide-screen viewing platform. Don't get me wrong as I love YT, but just a little disillusioned at the moment.

Same! I’m seeing channels with 500 subs getting more engagement on community than me with 3,699 🤷🏼‍♀️

This sounds like something that could be abused by spammers or people trying to promote their own channel. And what happens if someone posts an inappropriate comment or photo? Will the channel owner be blamed and receive a community guidelines violation for the post?

Whenever I don't post for awhile I use the community tab just to let people know I'm still here. 🤙🏿

Need more clarity on who gets notified when we make community posts. Do all subs get notified? Only the ones with the bell icon on? Consider giving creator the option to notify all subscribers when they make a community post, regardless of whether the subscriber has the bell icon on. As a subscriber of several YT channels myself, i have never received a notification of any channel's community post (which is concerning!)

Isn't this too tempting for haters and heavy for creator to moderate? There definitely should be a option to use posting feature as channel member perk. What is the timetable for rolling out of these new Communities?

At this time this is in limited testing. Only a few channels have access during the beta testing.

I think you have to wait a little time. The feature It's not yet available for all. Just a restricted number of youtubers.they will expand the users number to all of us next year, i suppose. 😉

This is exciting! I've been wanting a feature where my audience could share their photos, and there wasn't a way to do that other than to send them to IG or FB. I'm looking forward to this update!

All social media borrows ideas from each other. Snapchat stories got brought to other platforms, Vine/TikTok's shortform vertical content has been brought to other platforms, and similarly this Community tab seems to be a way to bring the Twitter/Reddit post/comment system into KZbin in the same way Shorts are just TikTok brought into KZbin. This seems to be a bit more like reddit, where everyone's channel's community page would functionally be it's own subreddit? I may not completely understand but it seems cool. A feature that could totally flop if nobody uses it (much like the current community posts), but this seems to have potential as long as *moderation is well-handled*.

I don't think this is a good idea - I don't want my channel to become the equivelant of cesspools like X, Reddit or Facebook. Will I have the option to approve the silliness that the YT community at large wants to grafitti on my channel? Will I have to 'Opt in' because I probably won't? TLDR - No I don't want this and it sounds like a bomb of robot AI spams and scams just waiting to go off.

Hi Rene, great video, but I have questions? I have watched many of your Creator Shorts, and I don't dislike the algorithm, but I have been around for over 15 years & I have three varied niche based channels & I believe I create great content & have seen my subscription bases grow. I more the turtle than the hare and I plan everything I do, including thumbnails & tags etc. My wide view channels are dying? yet they have a reasonable subscriber base for small channels, and I have tried everything, so do you have any advice? I also have a dedicated shorts channel and this fluctuates, so apart from not doing podcast's what am I doing wrong? I am not breaching community guidelines & when I use copyrighted material I ask for permissions. I do realise the sheer volume of videos going up daily can be an ocean, but I'm not getting many bites from my subscribers either? perplexed & worried, thank you.

I've been championing the Community tab for the last two years hoping and praying KZbin would put more focus on it! In the past few months (when certain other platforms became unbearable) I started posting daily posts (or more) on 2 different channels, and often more and the community response has been incredible. I asked if I was doing too much and they responded "not enough". I've even seen my video watch time go up on my dead channel. I'd love to get access to the beta for my channels, but excited to just see these new features roll out as well
