Hail master of masters! Which of your videos do you recommend studying Color Grading in Adobe Premiere? I think it's an older video, but it will be perfect! Thank you for existing in our lives!

I don't have one and if you use Canon R5 / R5C - just snap on a lut usually get you 90% there. Premiere is not really design for color grading :(

BTW great tutorial, really helpful, thanks! I'm looking forward to watch the next episode of this series. Then, I may have something for you: I made some VR tools for the Edit page of DaVinci Resolve, similar to the Premiere Pro ones like VR Rotate, VR Blur, etc., I started from the Andrew Hezeldan's Reactor KartaVR effects for Fusion, so they are totally free; reach me out if you are interested, I can share them to you!

I would love it if you did a tutorial on how to do vfx/compositing/stabilizing footage and other post-production tasks for VR180. I create graphics/animations (Flat and VR180) and have been trying to find a way to composite these elements into VR180 footage. I've searched everywhere, and the only thing I can find is a tutorial you did in 2018, and it was more geared towards mono-360 footage.

Feedback for the video: Packed with many helpful tips and tricks but sometimes a bit too fast. And it would help if you at least show the way without paid plugins too if there is one (e.g. using KartaVR and Davincis Inbuilt color grading tools). Thanks a lot! :) I am very excited for the next tutorial about rendering etc. Everything regarding your spatial audio workflow stayed as is?

Yes, I should def make those as well. Some of my older tutorial already cover color grading without plugin. Yes spatial video workflow I need to wait for Resolve update their Fairlight workflow to support spatial audio lol

Hi Hugh, I am from Germany and a total beginner in VR 180 creation. Inspired by the Videos from Adam (Firstvlogger) I bought the R5C and the dual fisheye - great system. Actually my workflow has 4 steps: Canon Raw LT 8K/30 footage - Canon VR Utility - Davinci Resolve - Topaz Video AI. Topaz is my longest timeeating prozess. 1 minute cliptime needs up to 40 minutes rendertime and the clip size then is 2 or 3 Gb. At the end, the result ist ok compared with many other content in DeoVR, but the latest clips from Adam are incredible in pixel quality by lower filesize than my clips. Do you think, the mentioned workflow above is correct or is there a better way which I could try? You are doing a really great job and I give a big THANKS to you, but please be a little bit slower in explaining. 😉 And please more step by step tuts. I would be very happy to see a complete step by step workflow from the Canon R5C footage til to Quest 3 in absolut top quality.🥰 Thanks bro and many greetings from germany!

Thank you! My resolve workflow I believe it’s one of the best in getting the highest quality. Did you see my content on Meta Quest TV that shot for Meta and for Canon. Like Ocean Of Light: Dolphins VR! Take a look and let me know if you like the quality there! I don’t judge quality on DeoVR as that compress the hack of a good video and I don’t think it use full hardware decoding potential. I will update more details on this workflow tho as that’s not all of it 🙏🏼
@hughhou8 ай бұрын
Oh wait Adam! Sorry trying to connect the dots. Yes, he is good with lots of experience. I believe he use resolve as well? He prob know stuffs I don’t know as he has a lot more experience than me on DeoVR. I don’t release on that platform. My workflow work better on official Meta Quest products, KZbin and local play.

@@hughhou Thanks for answer! But VR180 Video-Quality is the key point to bring videos into headsets for new consumers in future. Sorry, but its boring to view VR180 Videos with poor quality. And yeah, Adam shows, its possible. But I dont know how. It must be steps in the post, cause he also use the R5C with the dual lens. Thats my little problem. 😄🙃 If you find that key - make a tut, please. 💗

Hello Hugh & Kimchi! I have now successfully integrated the NDI connection from Davinci with NobeDisplay into OBS with NDI plugin and can see my Davinci output in OBS. Can you help me with the OBS export settings? How do I now send the DavinciNDI signal from OBS to the Quest3 browser?

What's the best way to upscale 360 degree content from a 5.7K camera like the Insta360 ONE X3? When I upload it to KZbin, it only displays 2160s for viewing, but I'd rather get the improved bitrate of 4320s. I have Resolve Studio, and Topaz Video AI. I'm willing to try other software too as long as its affordable.
@hughhou9 ай бұрын
You can just upscale with Topaz. The goal is to trick KZbin encoder - so as long as your upscale does not lost quality that will be good enough

Hi Hugh, you mentioned that with a birddog 4k it is possible, to stream the R5C live view directly into the Quest 3 headset. Did I understand this correct? I am searching for a stable setup, to use it somewhere outside in nature, without a laptop or pc in my backpack. Just me, the R5C with the dual fisheye and the Quest 3. 🤓 Ok, I also will take enough powerbanks with me. 😉 Maybe you can make a short video, how it works and which additionally parts are necessary to have. If there is a cheaper solution - great. But it must be as easy as possible to manage. I want to controll sharpness, exposure and many other details directly in the headset. I think the post will than be clearly easier and faster for me. 👍🤟
@hughhou8 ай бұрын
Without a laptop or location routing will be tough. The Birddog solution require you to set up a local server for now.

Hi Hugh :) Thanks for your quick reply! 1) Can I also do proxy workflow for Davinci? And that will not save many parts, just 1min from the beginning/end max. 2) So you also have much longer stitching and Topaz Upframing times for Prores instead of H265/H264?
@hughhou9 ай бұрын
1) Yes, I always use Proxy workflow in Resolve. It should be in my eariler tutorial series. 2) I don't use H265 in my pipeline at all so I don't know. I only use ProRes in middle pipeline.

Thank you for the great videos. I have the 3D 180 dual fisheye R5. Setup. Footage looks great and I have lots of filming background so that part I’m good. Have you tried any motion graphics in After Effects? I know you did some in Resolve but I’m much more comfortable making graphic stuff in AE. Doesn’t even need to be have true 3D physical dept I just want to display it without giving people a headache, titles logos, animations etc. One thing I found was the “stereo 3D toolkit” scripts plugin. Have you tried it? Maybe it’s even something we can figure out together! 👋
@hughhou9 ай бұрын
In AE there is a virtual reality plugin but I honest do not do that in AE. Let me know if you find a plugin that is useful. BorisFX VR Units is the only one I know will work in Adobe products

I purposefully added a lot of noise on a 360 video. KZbin did turn that into GARBAGE. :D . Now i know not to stress about it. :D
