To Correct u Mr. Hive Azur Lane DOES infact Work Closely With WoWs PC together, once a Year Azur Lane Gets Special Ships (Waifus) that are only BluePrint ships Made by Wargaming and put them into Azur Lane, Those Ships are called then Priority Research Ships and Azur Lane Openly Announces the Game and its Collab With the Azur lane Community openly.

I genuinely didn't know that, but then again I don't play azur Lane, kinda like the disconnect between these youtubers and wows you wouldn't know if you didn't watch/play. I mean I know moist referenced the game in a video called "this man is a menace" with zero reference to the game in the thumbnail. you wouldn't know if you hadn't seen it.

I get the whole thing they were trying to do but i don't see how it would bring in new players when said KZbinrs dont play the game or promote the gane in anyway, only current players would see this and if they like them they'd be more inclined to continue to play. That being said the current content makers of the gane are familiar to us on KZbin, i mean i didn't know what a cc was till I'd been playing for a whole year! but apart from the entertainment they provide they also give a lot of handy tips to players of all skill levels and experience and for that reason i would've liked or like in the future for their channels promoted. I didn't find out what a cc eas till Spartan was taken out of the cc program and i found out on Facebook a year after i started and from then i discovered more CCs from there. So my interactions with anyone outside the game before that was purely Facebook. At the moment we have many forms or social media related to legends and its really only KZbin that has a place for any player to watch a more experience player play the game, ask questions and learn in a fantastic community like we have on KZbin. Very often ill see some of the ccs post a video link from KZbin onto Facebook and it'll get very little interactions as opposed to someone posting a screenshot of a great game, however if we had these KZbinrs channel promoted within the game it automatically makes them more known and accessible so to get these newer players into this community very early on with a colab. i think is the better way to go for that reason. Sorry for long reply.

A rather harsh lesson WeeGee needs to learn is that at a certain point, you've got all the players you're ever going to get. You can only go down, retention is key.

I dont think that true wows pc still gets new players and it's 12 years old, however I do wish they would focus a little more on the players we already have

I think Wargaming is too focused on trying to get new players instead of doing what they can to retain the current and old players

from my admittedly limited view when I saw the creatorverse was "who the f*** are these people and why should I care?" I still dont know who they are and frankly still dont care. I understand some of the colabs with special ships trying to bring fans from the anime/magna over to the game (thinking mostly AL and Warhammer). I would think the colabs are supposed to bring something to the game, even if it is limited (godzilla and kong). But random youtubers? to me, brings nothing to the game at all. seems a waste of time to me. It would make better sense with the CC's but even that would be stretching it IMO (sorry CC's)

I'm my defence I thought the game was based on the animie, I only knew it existed because of the wows colab, I watched a episode or two, but seeing cartoon girls in a state of undress really didn't sit well with me so I didn't look any deeper into it. each to there own and all

They used the wrong youtubers . They should have used you tubers like Drachinifel , The Fat Electrician , Habitual Linecrosser and Sub Brief . Their viewers already come in with a interest in historical military ships and equipment . I would pay money for a Fat Electrician guise with Nicks smart ass comments but ive kept my wallet in my pocket for these guys . WG doesnt truly understand what their target audience watches when fhey’re not playing .

I knew none of the creators in the recent event, I just ignored it. Not entirely sure I'd have done much different if I did though. I'm not twelve though to be fair

Solid idea to advertise this way but the usual poor WG execution. Throwing darts at a dartboard, hoping that a few of the 30 mil subs (that actually know about this - because i bet due to only 1 of the guys mentioning Ships, the followers of the other 4 have no clue Ships exists) come check the game out, is wishful thinking. The issue this raises that's concerning is the lack of pushing their own CCs. They need to have more than just a blog post once a year that's buried by other posts on THEIR OWN WEBSITE. At least do something external to direct people to the CCs. Even something in-game. Not everyone out there that plays this game also uses KZbin.

Everyone has their own opinion on the matter. I personally don’t really care, I understand why WG promoted the creator verse over CCs, and I know why people are irritated over our own CCs being overlooked. But the amount of complaining and just plain bitching by the playerbase is way over the top, there’s several posts a day complaining about how the game is dead, WG don’t listen, CCs should leave. All this because WG want to expand to other potential players to get them interested? I hope WG does something for the CCs but as of right now there is so much drama between some of them or the game in general it’s not a very safe option for them to go for. While I agree with Hive on the Hipper situation and enjoy his content WG likely isn’t confident to make guises or other media/content when there’s animosity or uncertainty amongst CVs themselves

I hope this current update is just the Devs. taking a break. To spend 4 weeks not really doing anything is quite lame. And the only ships to acquire are those that were offered last year. Quite lazy IMO.

This whole thing is dumb, its not my cup of tea. But for this to be so blown out of proportion. Yes it be nice if the CCs got maybe one spot, the WG could have made it 6 spots not five. So the 5 used, and one CC who played the game. And yes it is as you said this was done to bring in new blood, to a game that is losing players faster then it is getting new ones in. Now some have been fast to say that this has not worked they have not see these new players as no one has seen the camos or guises to much, well maybe that is true. But lets look deeper, first off these camos are all for Tier V ships, that these new players well not have, and won't for sometime. So only those who have played a while may have the ship for the camo, and most do not want this, so hence the number seen so low. Next the guises most long time players do not want this so few are around, and maybe the newplayers are waiting to get a commander that that goes with the ships camo so DD for the DD camo so on. Also yes the new players are on Tier 5 and under, I think this is a short term fix to a long term problem, as most of these new players well leave in a few weeks. Why easy the same BS that is driving off those who have been here longer repetitive game play, boring ass modes that get old, Now before some one whinnes about bad players. stop I do not place bad players into this because everygame online has them. WOWSL is not the only game with them. In fact is these Potatos as we call them that make this game what it is, they give us Krakens, Solo Warrios basically all the medals that need players to be dumb, if every player was at least good most these medals vanish over night, and then you would whinne about how hard the game is. Also what makes playersbad to me its doing nothing but running away or not helping even a little, I give no Fs if they sail broadside we all do to someone, Side rant these are the same ones who cry CVs are OP, but have never played one. Here is a thought go into training play a CV vs Bot ships who stay put and do not fight back yes your OP with them not moving or fighting back then try with them fighting back, and moving OP leaves fast,

Although i love your content i don't agree with you on this. How many new players have joined the game directly due to this collab? How many of these youtubers have advertised this game and pushed it to their fan base? I know you briefly mentioned this in the video, however combined subscribers of these creators are in the millions, unless you can show me any data opposing this, this is simply another money grab by WG simple.

WG never issues playerbase numbers, so we will never know the extent, but they even confirmed it was a marketing campaign, so it fits with them being obscure, if they wanted us to buy it would be Jingles etc well that would be the smart option as they already have him on pc

Im not a guise kind of guy i thank its pretty stupid. But i really like all the cc people and subscribe to them all would love to see more people playing the game but people need to realize its a business to WG and a game to all players been here since it dropped and will be here till it ends
