I was one of the voices in this and series 2, I was the white dog in the skip, my mate Dave was the brown dog in the skip, we were just sat in a pub in London one day, and these women sat next to us just asked us, out of the blue, if we wanted to be on telly as Creature Comforts animals, (we had seen the Creature Comforts adverts before) so here is exactly "how it worked", we arranged to meet up at my home for a "trial?" recording, there was NO SCRIPT to this either, we were just bombarded with a load of questions that got increasingly more bizarre , (you NEVER hear the questions in the finished television version) and the more bizarre the questions become, the more bizarre the answers were, here is an example, of how they got me to say, "exactly the sort of comment they were looking for" Q have you done any travelling A (me) quite a bit Q where is your favourite destination, A Iceland, Q why Iceland A its kinda really remote Q what about going to the toilet there A well, you have to kinda go outside Q and is that what you did A yes Q can you be a bit more specific A I've defecated outside, of course I have, you know what I mean 1:34:08 "BINGO, we'll have that one liner on telly NO PROBLEM" (they caught Dave out, "owning up to scavenging food from supernarket bins" THAT went on the telly too, LOL). the best part about this was, after this "trial?" recording, I had basically no recollection of anything that I actually said in it, as it was just "so random", LOL, just before the trial recording, me and Dave had to sign something too, "we probably didnt read that either" LOL, a few weeks later, we were told that we had been selected to be featured in the Creature Comforts series, BUT, they hadnt decided what sort of creatures we would be, a couple of weeks before the series stated, we were told what creatures we would be, and sent a photo of our characters, they made Dave look exactly like his pet dog, that was with us in the pub, at that very first encounter, we were also told, which episodes we would be appearing in, I told my old man to look out for these episodes on the telly, and he told his work mates, I remember exactly where I was, when I heard my "crapping outside" comment, I was on the sofa at my girlfriends, her teenage daughter was watching this too, and I said something before it started like "my old man has told all of his workmates that I'm in this weeks episode", as soon as I heard "MY comment" about "crapping outside" I just put my head in my hands, my girlfriend found it "totally hilarious" saying something like, "you have probably made about 2 MILLION people laugh about that" at that point in time, I was employed as a delivery driver, for an organic food shop, so quite a few of my delivery customers heard THAT too, this was after they had heard Dave owning up to scavenging food from supermarket bins too, our characters were also "immortalised"(LOL) on the Creature Comforts "commemorative mug" and on the Creature Comforts birthday card too.

Aardman really are one of the few great British exports we have left. An institution that has never sold itself out nor outsourced itself in its entirety, and is always a bastion of quality. I don't think they've ever even really made anything bad. And now they do this for us. Post an entire works in one video, just for us. SELDOM does any other accomplished entertainment entity do that- if anyone else does it for them, it gets taken down for copyright infrignement. Thank you, Aardman. I love claymation. Claymation combined with the dry English humor is great! If you look at the facial expressions, it matches the voice overs perfectly. Just imagine the millions of stop-go motions they have to do. This is true artistry and cinematic. I prefer this a million times over a Star Wars type CGI movie. Great job. Keep it up. This is much better than the typical American tripe which passes for cinematic “art.” I’m American but in this genre, the English are much better than Hollywood’s pampered cretins.

Dude, I need to constantly remind myself that this is stop motion animation and not your generic 3D CGI animation. Man, look at the coffee at 36:34!

The sets / backgrounds on this were wonderful. The characters were good too of course but the sets really added a lot.

The hard-as-nails, seen-it-all police dog at 19:30 is absolute gold!! 😂🤣 *Edit - also the bit at 34:14 where the shark playfully headbuts the glass, bwahahaha! 🤣😄

It's funny the lioness is most likely very fearsome but her voice is quite calming and soothing like you could put a baby with her and you could trust her not to eat it and in fact even take care of it

I remember this show from childhood, but I never really watched it. The show's title is apt because it's certainly comforting. Watching these episodes is like stepping back into a simpler time.

..... Do you know Jesus Christ can set you free from sins and save you from hell today Jesus Christ is the only hope in this world no other gods will lead you to heaven There is no security or hope with out Jesus Christ in this world come and repent of all sins today Today is the day of salvation come to the loving savior Today repent and do not go to hell Come to Jesus Christ today Jesus Christ is only way to heaven Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today Today is the day of salvation tomorrow might be to late come to the loving savior today Romans 6.23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus
