Please note, this is a protype review, the actual game has improved components including but not limited to actual animal meeples! I've also since found out, that there will be a variant for a slightly faster game. To be clear, I think the gameplay length is actually great as is, but for those like Rikki who might find their attention wandering towards the end, that can help :)

HA! She's like a mini you but with long ginger hair. This was amazing, she was nervous but she has the same voice inflections when explaining the game and I think that's awesome, You both did well explaining the game. She's so honest it's brilliant. I've often said if you want an honest opinion, take it from the eyes of a child. Also "And the reason I didn't miss it, I pay attention to details" amazing.

Rikki - You did a great job! You spoke clearly and were excellent at communicating your thoughts. Many people say 'umm' when they start reviewing/speaking, but you didn't say 'ummm' once! My advice on how to improve would be 1. Do more reviews and 2. Relax and have fun. Think of the camera as a friend you are talking to. Alex - Great job on supporting your daughter! There were several times when you listened to what she was saying, and I find this isn't always the case when a parent has a child assist with a review. I liked the open-ended questions you asked as this gave us insight into her thoughts (as opposed to the answers from the closed questions). Why a reviewer dis/likes a game is much more important than whether they dis/like the game. A viewer may disagree on artwork or not care about whatever ruined the game for the reviewer. As an example, knowing this game can seem to run too long is good to know. It tells me that I shouldn't play it with someone who wants quick games. Thanks for the videos you produce and hire Rikki for more reviews! Kids get taxed at a lower rate and if she buys no load mutual funds, she can be financially secure by your age.

This review was adorable. I'm very interested in more reviews like this with the opinion of kids. I'm always interested in new gateway games appropriate for both adults and kids. This is a game I've been tracking and will likely back. The fact that is seems inspired by Algonquin Provincial Park which is a few hours drive from home makes it even more appealing.

Excellent review! Quick question: How would you describe the player interaction in this game? Is each player kind of playing solo as each builds their own den, similar to the gameplay in Fantastic Factories?

Minimal interact, only in the sense that some cards and comforts and whatnot you can get to first.

I was so excited when i saw this game on ks. Since im huge fan of Everdell, i thought this would be a nice intro game for my kids, but...... i was shocked a bit when i saw shipping prices. Maybe it’s mistake but my country (Lithuania) which is part of EU and have border with Poland is charged with 42$ shipping price, as shipping to Poland is only 19$. To be honest it does not makes any sense as country around us, no matter which direction i take has much lower shipping cost.

The price for a previous KTBG game Wreck Raiders which I bought on retail was much cheaper at $27 vs. KS of $39 plus shipping, but KS had exclusives. I'm curious to see your thoughts on whether the KS exclusives for Creature Comforts is worth paying the extra money.

@@BoardGameCo, I found my answer after checking through the FAQ. “The Comfort cards (63 x 88mm standard poker size) will fit in the inserts sleeved. These are the cards that will be the most frequently handled and shuffled during the game. The Improvement, Traveler and Valley cards are unusual sizes and the insert is not designed to hold them sleeved. We continue to work with Game Trayz to engineer the insert to the best functionality.” I pay attention to details 😝! God Bless you brother!
