Unfortunetly i was at a birthday party and couldn't make it to the premier😢 It was probably fun watching it with everybody. Hopefully the channel can colorize 'Horrors of Party Beach' next, it's a perfect movie to make a double bill with this one.

When Horror at Party Beach aired on Creature Features my parents refused permission for my brother & I to watch it. I was devastated what would the other 3rd graders say at school on Monday? They said their parents wouldn't allow them to watch it either. 😊

Today, probably no one has ever heard of Jon Hall. He was a huge star back in the early 1930's and thru the 1940's. He was in the 1937 mega cult classic "hurricane' with the then beautiful sexy mega star Dorothy Lamour directed by legendary John Ford. He made other southsea / jungle movies with the beautiful Dorothy Lamour!😍🤗♥️ He also made many other jungle adventure movies throughout the 1940's and 1950's. He was married to popular singer Frances Langford many years and they moved to Florida where they were semi retired. Later, as he got older, and being ruthlessly discarded by Hollywood, (and needing money) sadly he was forced to do these b- pictures unworthy of him. Another case of Hollywood chewing up and spitting out another great star of his day.🤔🙄😳😥

I remember watching this, as a small boy (50+ years back). I recall the staircase in the house, and the monster, at the top. I have a copy of this, but it's titled 'The Monster From The Surf'. I believe THAT'S, the original title. In ALL movies, the title is openly said, written, and/or, insinuated. They sing 'Monster From The Surf', when partying at the beach. At least Bunny had it coming, for ruining the sandwich😏, heh-heh. Oh, and Vicky 👏👏👏👍!!!!

Shortly after this film came out my family visited the Oregon coast just after Christmas. I remember seeing a few people in wet suits trying out new surfboards, not terribly successfully. Those wetsuits weren't enough to keep them from turning blue in the ocean. Not really surfing waves around Devil's Punchbowl.

My point was that what they were talking about at 16:30-ish was very true. Surfers were the epitome of West Coast cool. In that cold Oregon coast water they weren't cool. They were cold! Brrrrr! But they were trying. Only time I've ever seen surfers on the Oregon Coast.
