It's not about being Puertorican ... It's physics ... the pressure inside the cup doesn't let the water come out ... and it's really easy to do too ! .. You can actually pull the cup up and have the plate still hanging under the cup if you had the right tools for it ..

Please, if someone gets into a call in the next creature talks b4 the 100th ask/suggest them this: In the 100th creature talk they should have all the creatures including Ze (in a call), and possibly old regulars of creature talk in calls also like chilled, junk, gassy, and lyle. Kevin would be a great bonus too! If they're bringing back calls they should bring back old creatures too!

OH MY FUCKING GOD! I am Puerto Rican and the whole fucking time Sly and Nova were discussing the "Anti-Rain Water Cup Trick" I was yelling at the computer like "NOVA I FUCKING LOVE YOU BUT SHUT THE FUCK UP, SLY KNOWS WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT." Paper plates aren't good for it because it's usually pretty flexible and can cause the water to slip out through the spaces where the cup and plate aren't completely together BUT if a paper plate is the only thing you have, putting a little bit of water in it before hand helps the water IN the cup STAY in the cup because of Water Cohesion, causing the molecules to stay together, and forming somewhat of a wall (of water) to prevent the internal water from escaping. It's hard to explain >.< ... Jesus Christ.

guy766 I know that xD I'm just saying that BECAUSE OF Puerto Ricans having that superstition, we've done "The Cup Thing" pretty often. So Sly is more experienced with it, while Nova was confused about thw whole thing. (Although neither of them actually knew the reasoning behind why the water never escaped the cup.
