I actually did a essay on Gay Marriage for my writing class during my Senior Year of high school. I was basically defending it not just for the fact that I have friends who just happen to be gay and lesbian and whatever you want to call it, but also because I believe in love and that everyone should have a chance at love. I agree. Fallout or Elder Scrolls should have some co-op ability. In Fallout it's ok if they weren't to do it because you get the radio to keep you company, but in Elder Scrolls is dead silent for the most part minus the music, random banter from AIs and noises. Co-op would definitely ease that.

RobotBandit112 I think they're both pretty great games. I've played through Oblivion and Skyrim, and Dark Souls 1 and 2 and they were both fun. They weren't that similar and both had their ups and downs

I know they're misinformed, but with the Tomodachi Life situation it wasn't there because they didn't want to make a social commentary, and then the bug was found to allow same sex marriage but it caused a game breaking glitch that would break your save so they patched it out for that reason alone. The US and Europe release are simply translations done by a translation team owned by Nintendo, not Nintendo themselves so since they can't put it in without messing with the games code, they said "Sorry, but we're just translating it we don't code the game." and people took that as "Nintendo is homophobic!". Also, as far as I know, not too many people in Japan gave a shit if it allowed same sex marriage or not. I know it's pointless for me to post this but I wanted to inform people who it's not in there since some people don't remember they're usually misinformed on creature talk.

Including same sex relationships isnt a social commentary, its basic goodness. And it is homophobic of Nintendo eliminate it because its harmful to kids who'll grow up thinking theyre alone if they never hear about other gay people. I get what you were saying, but they were pretty much right.

Lila Bogle It's not really homophobic though. They just didn't want to include it, and it's their game. I prefers devs be allowed to make the game they envision instead of wanting to make a game but have to pander to a group out of fear of being called homophobic, racists, or other terms akin to those. I'm perfectly fine with a game having people of different ethnicity, sexuality and stuff but it doesn't need to be in every game. Now, if Nintendo said it wasn't being included because they were against homosexuality then they would be homophobic.

Nah, that's not it. There was never a bug that allowed gay marriage. People made female mii characters to look like males and that's all - no glitching. This was never patched out, and you can still do this in the upcoming western release. What was patched out was a game-breaking bug that messed up save files. These two separate situations happened at the same time, and due to mistranslation, people thought nintendo patched out gay marriage.

***** No, the bug literally had to do with the fact that two same sex mii's could get married and have kids. Because this isn't supposed to normally happen, the game would fuck up saving and your saved file would get corrupted. This was all MONTHS before Nintendo revealed they were going to bring the game outside of Japan.

That was the misunderstanding. The bug had nothing to do with the gay relationships or relationships at all. There never was gay relationships in the game, it was people dressing up females as males, which is still possible in the game.
