@@ILoveManCity. I could totally see it being full of a recollection of the past reign and the hopes for the new and toasts and honoring newly created and remembering those fried or killed. More toasts and honored speeches and things specific to the elder like for Amelia I’d imagine art and culture and gifts of great wealth exchanging, Markus oaths of loyalty, viktor weaponry. Then the elder drinks themself transferring the blood and goes to a trance as the awakening shifts to their draining and the next filling out

It has to do with blood memories. Exacts of all that passed during the previous reign . Waking out of order is forbidden. Her memories were chopping fear filled incomplete. Why he was upset with her.

Actually Victor isn't evil. I would say grey. Victor was a Warlord of the past. He did things to keep power but also the vampires safe. As you saw in the awakening, with no real leader to bring the hammer, the Vampires was a hot damn mess. Same went with the Lycans.
