It’s impressive the lack of knowledge of tons of watch youtubers!! And for this guy, this is his job!!! Also, at least in Europe, Credor is sold in GS boutiques

They don’t sell Credor in GS-Boutiques anymore. At least in Germany… I visited one of their Boutiques yesterday.

In March I purchased a Credor from the Grand Seiko Flagship store, in Ginza, Tokyo, while visiting Japan. The Credor model I purchased has the exact same movement in it and also states an accuracy of -10 to +15 seconds per day. I absolutely love the watch, and it runs consistently at +3 seconds per day.

All pre-orders for the 300 limited Credor remake SOLD OUT Worldwide immediately! Set to release August 9th so we'll see what 2nd hand prices are like from $12k / ¥1.76m Hope Credor realizes how popular these are now and release future iterations with open caseback, more accuracy, power reserve, dial colors. Since original quarts released in 1979, why not release 1,979 limited models?

Spring drive movements are quite thick aren’t they? I kind of wish Credor used a GS 9F movement to stick to the quartz heritage. Is it a sports watch with 100M or a Credor dress watch with 30? My same issue with the Reverso. Sporty equals some proper water resistance.

Yah a 9F woulda made a lot more sense here I agree. I still like it tho

I think what Zack wants to say is- "If Grand Seiko is the grander Seiko, then Credor is the grander Grand Seiko!" 🤓

Well, being a guy who loves nerdy watch history, regarding Genta being a visitor to Seiko Japan, it seems he may not have been the only one, I think Philippe Dufour has been there too or at least has to have been because he has said on camera that he gave tutoring to some of the artisans in the Credor department

Credor Qaurtz=G.S Quartz today, 9series Spring Drive = ex credor movement. This is an ethos of the brand I like; As technology becomes depreciated, it is passed on to the sister brands, it gives s a chance to have a piece of high end watch making history that still possesses high quality

The Anoma looks quite nice, but isn't for me. I like the Credor for sure. At $12K, it seems a bit much. I guess it's somewhat more hand made. Is that why there is that price? People balked at the IWC price for the Ingenieur. While I think those are maybe a touch high on price, they are really great in hand and on wrist. I would love to own one some day. I know they spent literal years on the bracelet and at least it offers a 5 day movement. From what I can tell, the movement in the Credor is just a likely more decorated version of the 6L35, based on having all the same specs. If this Credor version had a higher accuracy rating, I'd maybe cut them some more slack. If a few thousand dollars here and there makes no difference, and you want a Genta design that's not what everyone else has, it may be worth it though. The design itself is odd, but great. I personally like Locomotive's design more than the Nautilus, which has yet to grow on me after years 6 years in the hobby.

Anoma watch got the same shape as the piston in a wankel engine. Its an infinite design seen in mosiac stone that is thousand of year old.

I am not gonna be like everyone else point out that Genta didn't design the VC 222. But I WILL point out that you gotta get the Mondaine clock on the book shelf fixed.

Love the credor design but hate the crap movement (for the price I’d want a lot more accuracy) shame I’d have bought one otherwise due to the genta connection.
