Can you react to Weathered from their 3rd album self titled song? It's raw but it's my favorite!!
@JohnDoe-mv2be2 жыл бұрын
I took this as a Christian track, can you take me higher to a place where blind men see? Can you take me higher to a place with golden streets. Sounds like Heaven to me.

It is a Christian track from a Christian band. Great band.
@greggeer62319 ай бұрын
The lead singer, Scott Stapp, would admit that Creed was not a Christian band. His band mates would ask him why the religious stuff was in their music, even though Scott wasn't living it. He would tell them simply, "I have to. I know it's right.". God still used him and this band to encourage others. Now Scott has begun to be more bold about sharing his faith in his shows. What a story and testimony he has to share!

2:14 if you grew up in the 90s/2000s there was almost no chance you didn't hear this song. It got tons of radio play. The chorus is pure fire and hooks you instantly

Creed was hated by ‘all the right people’ in the 90’s for being formulaic, but they had tons of hits. That rising tempo is call crescendo. Great reaction!

Glad you got around to this Creed classic. However, there are two more which you should listen to: Weathered and My Sacrifice. You're an old school wrestling fan, so you should recognize My Sacrifice. They used this song for tributes to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

I was lucky enough to see Creed in concert on their reunion tour in 2010. It was a double bill with Theory of a Deadman and they both put on an amazing show! Creed saved "Higher" and "One Last Breath" for their encore that night! My husband and I actually started dating that night!

I think this was their best song live in concert , me and my wife saw them 3 times . I think just about everyone there could sing every word to every song it was very moving.

I think as they sold over 80 million albums worldwide so they got enough credit and had many fans all over the world, just wanted to point out this because you said they were highly slept on and didn't get enough credit that they deserved when they were active

This is debatably my favorite song of all time. I remember my dad listening to to this album all the time as a kid (I was 6 when this album was released). I had a little CD player/radio in my room and I asked my dad to play this CD for me when I was going to bed every night. Great memories and great songs all over this album.

I've been playing guitar for 20 years (although it doesn't sound like it) and their guitarist, Mark Tremonti (mostly known for Alter Bridge), has been my inspiration ever since I was 10 years old. My older brother was into Creed and had posters. When I heard the guitar intro to One Last Breath, I was blown away.

People mistook this band as a rock band with christian themes....true but this man was abused by a religious fanatic in his stepfather who was a preacher....Dude was actually writing from pain and trying to regain his faith. Absolute tragedy that people hated them for thinking cause everything sounded triumphant but its not entirely about that.

Creed was MASSIVE in the late-90's, which was ultimately what led to their backlash in popularity; they were TOO famous. It seems now that a little time has passed, a whole new generation is judging them based on the music, and not the baggage.
