Hi DGibbs!! I've been a sub for a few few years and today became a Patreon! I would REALLY love if you would react to Danny Gokey - Tell Your Heart To Beat Again. He is an amazing Christian artist who also placed 3rd on "American Idol" in 2014. The song & the story behind it changed my life. One of love, loss, faith and trust. I know your incredibly busy & your list is long!! ❤🙏

Devin....you are an inspiration! I created my own prison many years back and fell upon my knees, desperate for the answers to life's questions. Creed and their message influenced my strength and survival to never fail. I absolutely find your words just as powerful and impactful! Keep up the great work brother and know others are better people because of you!!

I wish there was more Christian music like this. It's not all sweet and excessively religious sounding. It's dark and painful, with poetic lyrics that Christians and non-Christians alike can relate to and enjoy. Such a great song. Outstanding video breakdown and message 👍

When this song came out, it exactly explained my life at that time. It was the springboard to my salvation.

I first heard this song in the early 00's. I was in a dark place. Dealing with my experiences from the USMC and life as an LEO. When I heard it...It wasn't just a song. I saw myself in the cage that I had built. It was the springboard for me to go back to church and correct myself with Christ.
@dukeravenshadow5532
@dukeravenshadow5532 2 жыл бұрын
@@spookyspacekook5426 Its amazing a song can speak exactly to where you are in life...much less speak to exactly what you need to hear. This song...their first song...was the only song I could listen to at t hat time in my life. I was in a dark place myself. I was a Corpsman in the Navy at the time. When this song came out....it was the only song I could listen to. I felt like I was in a hole a deep hole looking up and could only see a sliver of light. I was contemplating suicide because if I was alone...voices reminding me of all my failure kept haunting me. One Sunday night alone in my barracks room I was being tormented, as I was hoping I had a pistol to shoot myself...I fell to my knees and said God I need the answer!.......a week later I was in a small church that felt like home, filled with loving people. The associate pastor was leading. He asked everyone to stand but never asked anyone to raise thier hands who wanted to be forgiven. I said thats what I need, I bowed my head and said the prayer.......and a lifetime of pain, hurt, wounds, sin, guilt shame etc.....was lifted. I felt like I had just woken up from a bad dream when I opened my eyes from the prayer. I knew that I knew God, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit was real! It felt like waking up in the Matrix, but to a better reality. Everything I walked into that church that weighed me down and distressed me was gone. Everything. I was free and I knew that God had set me Free. There's no questioning that, God made Himself real to me! I've never Questioned my faith in Him since.

Creed were such a great band full of such talented individuals. Their 1st album had 'Torn' 'My Own Prison' 'What's This Life For' and 'One" on it, which were all so good. They get some hate idk if just for being Christian oriented or Stapps voice, but they had more No. 1 hits in their time than anyone.

Love how creed is getting more love than they used to. Not “Christian band” but a very religious based band. Not a skillet or flyleaf but very much faith based. So deep in all their songs! Do more flyleaf/Lacey! You’ll love her passion for Jesus! The song “again” or “rot” or “sorrow”!!

I just back from retreat but couldn't attend Sunday service. I listened to this song the whole way back on repeat. My ex fiance and I spent the whole weekend talking about being born again and making the concience decision to let God steer our lives and once we had made that commitment to Jesus to earn is his sacrifice by moving the way He did then we could commit to each other properly the god intended. Now I'm home and unpacked and I'm watching this and i in tears. Thank you because this is more than a sign. Thank you.

Your sort of right. Its not about last judgment. Its about creating your own prison by your own actions, no one else's. This song is the singer saying I'm sorry and admitting how he caused the things that lead him down this path. His father started to talk to him after hearing this song

Scott is singing the "and I say OH", Mark is singing the rest of the corus. This song is deep. Many say it's about addiction. I believe it's about not excepting Christ and going to hell. Both may be true. "You better YOLO yourselfe in the word" LOL

it’s about how he ruined his life and created his own prison, the song is about how god would be the only one who could save him from addiction but it was too late and his prison was created, so yes kind of about both

@ That’s fantastic🤟I saw them in Cincinnati and now going this Friday November 22 in Cleveland! I feel pretty good about saying they’d be getting back together! Every show is sold out! Scott sounds amazing the band is killing it! I will be putting up their full concert 🎶 set from Cleveland, as soon as I get home! I was right up front for Cincinnati show, right in front of Mark! My visuals were fantastic had a issue with my sound, particularly because of where I was for the mix, amphitheaters have the speakers back a bit further and I had a issue with a speaker on my phone that was going bad, so the sound wasn’t up to the standard I always want to share with others but I got a new IPhone Pro Max 16 and I’m ready for Friday! Cincinnati was fire🔥🔥🔥too! So happy you got to a show and had a phenomenal time! I think they’ll tour more but next time with a new album! It feels so right that Creed is back🤟🎶🔥🥰🤟

Scott Stapp on the long "Oooooooh", and Mark on the chorus. They switch up the vocal roles a lot. They do the same in Alter Bridge now (past Creed members) with Myles and Mark; switch backing and lead vox. Love that dynamic; wish more people would use it today. Mark's even got his own band where he does lead vocals, called Tremonti (after his last name). They make some great stuff too.

Scott had done either LSD or mushrooms the day before and he work up the next day and just wanted to bang his head to make the pain stop. Creed puts on an amazing show. I saw them in 97 in Nashville and then on every other album tour until they broke up(again).

Their first album that I ever owned and heard was their second album, "Human Clay". When I heard the first song on that album, I was HOOKED! For real a Alter Bridge song you need.....no...MUST do is Words Darker Than Their wings. It's a duet with Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti. The lyrics are a direct conversation between Myles and Mark. Myles is Atheist and Mark believes in a higher power. The song is about the conversation of that. It is really really good. I'd suggest listening to the Live version but the album version is just as good. Such a powerful song.

this is Exactly why i come to your channel when i am down and out. know that you have helped save a old veteran that lost his way after the wars were over and I was angry at god then realize i was just lost and and thought you it helped me find my way and Jesus found me partly through you.!!! thank you.

The way I interpret/relate to the song is that it's a guy with mental health issues trying to find religion. The way that relates to me is that I have some pretty bad mental health disorders and I hear voices, have hallucinations etc. Personally I couldn't believe or have faith in Christianity so this song feels relatable to me in that I think when I tried to believe I was "Hiding Hate That Burns Inside" or "Gabriel Stands and Confirms I Created My Own Prison" which I interpret to mean that I locked my self out of believing/having faith.
