My wife and I have to do long distance for the next 8 months. These troubles are slight compared to most but let me tell you - it's the most excruciating months of my life. It takes a lot to go from being friends with loneliness, to finding your best friend in the whole world and marrying them, to go back to loneliness. I'm currently 2 months in and god damn. I can't imagine what some people go through losing those they love forever if this is what it feels like.
