@@passionsquietragejust saw em live in Charlotte a couple weeks ago. They are doing their “Summer of ‘99” tour with 3 Doors Down. They still sound incredible. And the band was very vibey. Seems that Scott has gotten his shit together finally.

So I was in the military in 2002 basic training. We weren't allowed to listen to music or basically have any quality of life things like that at that time. Pretty sure it's changed since then. But I got on a bus because I injured my leg and had to go to get it looked at and the driver was playing this song. It was the first song I'd heard in over 2 months. It was the most beautiful song I'd ever heard at that point because A) I already liked Creed B) You don't realize how much music means until you literally CANNOT listen to it. It still brings a tear to my eye all these years later thinking back to that moment in time.

Scott always sounded like heavy Eddie Vedder and Weathered (album its from), is the the only album where Creed came 99% close to sounding like super heavy Pearl Jam by vocals AND writing. Scott has become an internet meme over the years, I know, but back then when it came out, I listened to it repeatedly. It was something that I never heard anyone to do: replicate Pearl Jam's spirit but sounding like themselves at the same time. Still in my Top 10 of those alternative rock/alt metal albums that came out 2001-2006 during my college years.

The first time I remember hearing this song was about '02 or '03... somewhere in there. I love this song. It's easily one of my favorites. I would also recommend checking out "My Sacrifice" if you haven't heard it or seen the music video. It's another one of my favorites from them. Everybody talks about the song "Higher", and I love that song, and I've played on guitar while singing it, but there are others that I see as more of a hidden gem. Keep it metal.\m/

Ok, if you like Creed, you're gonna love Alter Bridge. It's all the band members of Creed but with an even better vocalist, Myles Kennedy. Go with their live performances, coz they're one of those bands who are even better live than in the studio

Even better singer ? Nah. Love creed and love alter bridge. Scott and Myles are two distinct vocalists. What Stapp can do Myles can’t and vice-Versa. Stapp was incredible at creed’s height and Myles’ finest work for me vocally is pre alter bridge with mayfield four, citizen swing and cosmic dust.

This song has a great meaning to me. My best friend since we were 11..Got in an accident we were while out biking. Drunk driver push him in to the barrier. Died on way to hospital. .we used to play this non stop and nearly lost our voices singing very loud. DIXIE i say a prayer every night too you ..we were both 24 at the time ..Im now 56 .This song transports me back to his mums garage .Old man next door asking for perry como ..we thought it was prison slang. Lyric Interpretations: I was reading about the Battle of Samar (1944) Lt Commander Robert Copeland addresses the crew of his destroyer escort USS Samuel B. Roberts with these words: “This will be a fight against overwhelming odds from which survival cannot be expected. We will do what damage we can”. Right around this time I heard 'One Last Breath' for the first time. I thought the words "Sad Eyes Follow Me" was 'SAILORS! FOLLOW ME!' Just me - but this song can conjure up images of conflict; in some strange way it fit (for me at least).
