I picked-up a bottle on the discount market a couple years ago not expecting much because this one gets little attention (it was cheap) and what a gem this turned out to be. It's one of my favorites the past two years and I'll be needing another bottle before the Summer is out. Excellent review; well-done.

This is next on my Creed purchase list. It' is just a handsome, well-lived life scent, and good for warm weather but still lasts. I'd feel good about hanging out with anyone wearing this.

Great Review! I bought a bottle of Royal Water in 2008. It does have a nice citrusy, minty smell. To me, it's dry down smells like "Money", Paper Money That Is!!! But, Great Scent!!!!

A great in depth review on royal water. Thanks man!! VIW, SMW and Royal Water are missing from my collection. If you had to choose between the three which would you go for?

I only have SMW and am having VIW delivered on Wednesday. SME's smell is fresh, invigorating, and unique. I have a 2.5 oz bottle bought from Neiman Marcus so it's the real thing. However, it feels like it seems to sit closer to the skin as opposed to Aventus or GIT, but that could be due to it being a light scent. With that said, it's a versatile fragrance that is signature scent worthy. If you do end up buying a Creed, purchase it from fragrancenet.com. Everything I have received is authentic and typical 4 oz. bottles go for 150-170 with Aventus and Royal Oud being 220-ish!

Theres two editions of Royal Water... Is this the Princess Di edition? If not, how can you differentiate between the two?

ah it's all good. That bond was the only frag that I can think of presently that has a prominent basil note, so I was just wondering how it compared to it. I'm thinking of swapping for a bottle of Royal Water but I'm a little nervous with the mixed reviews.
