From the opening crackle of fluorescent lights to the closing slow-mo running shot, this easily ranks among the best cut trailers of 2015. The rhythmic tape up at 00:57, the repeating jostle of punching bag chains starting at 00:51, and my single favorite editing flourish of the year: the drum accented combo punch at 1:22. All the emotional beats are there and it presents the story’s scope while staying firmly in teaser territory (something a lot of teasers nowadays fail to do). One of those rare pieces that turned a movie few had on their radars immediately into a highly anticipated release.
