that is Creed .... thats when they believed ... I seen them when they had that magic. The raw power and then the soft rough beautiful tone of Scotts voice is, well am not no pussy and it brings tears to my eyes, thats all I can say. To be there and feel the emotion in the air is something I will never forget. The intro was killer.

Wow! Yea dude me too, I was 16 and 42 now. I seen them with Fuel and Finger Eleven opening. Finger Eleven had just got signed and didn't have an album out yet. If I remember right the first 100 people through the door/gate got a little package with a Finger Eleven demo and the Creed single I forgot what song was on it but it had the old school "enhanced media" where on a computer you could watch this and a performance of Torn. I wish I still had all that stuff together.

Great performance and great video find. This is MAJOR old!!! We're talking pre Human Clay which means this was from the My Own Prison right before they exploded. There's 2 clues that give the time period away. The first being this is an early theater/large club show. The second being that Tremonti is playing a Les Paul. He didn't sign with PRS guitars until after they finished recording Human Clay. Since that time, he hasn't played anything except his signature PRS.
@smitty50068 жыл бұрын

It's cool to see that the band has had such an impact on people to where they know so much not only about the music but the history of the band itself. I'm assuming there's a couple of musicians in the comments, based on the name offs of Gibson and PRS. Honestly I feel like I'm the only one that really knows this much about Creed within my circle of friends. We all used to be a metal band and listen to and knew of all kinds of bands and their backgrounds. And I was always the only one whom loved and knew all about this band. I'm a 90s baby so this shit among many other Creed tunes were fucking anthems and continued to grow up loving this band. They hold a special place in my heart because I've held onto them for so long. I know this all comes off as really fanboyish lmfao but I love the hell out of this band and defend them entirely.

Hurray for A child that makes it through If there's any way Because the answer lies in you They're laid to rest Before they've known just what to do Their souls are lost Because they could never find What's this life for What's this life for What's this life for What's this life for I see your soul, it's kind of gray You see my heart, you look away You see my wrist, I know your pain I know your purpose on your plane Don't say a last prayer Because you could never find What's this life for What's this life for What's this life for What's this life for But they ain't here anymore Don't have to settle the score 'Cause we all live Under the reign of one king But they ain't here anymore Don't have to settle no Goddamn score 'Cause we all live under the reign I said, you know, of One king One king One king But they ain't here anymore Don't have to settle no Goddamn score 'Cause we all live under the reign I said, you know, of One king One king One king But they ain't here anymore Don't have to settle no Goddamn score 'Cause we all live under the reign Of one king

I have this on VHS. In 1998 I used to watch it over & over for up to a couple of hours at a time! It helped me through a really difficult time of injustice where I was being severely victimized constantly by neighbors, & my landlord. I got no help from anyone, & they are all evil worthless pieces of crap! I felt such a connection to Scott's performance & it helped remind me of how perfect I am & that those who abused me aren't worthy to lick the dirt off the bottom of my shoes! Creed ROCKS!

Man I'm tired of all the bashing on Stapp's voice. He had throat surgery and he sings damn near every night while on tour. That kills a voice. I heard him when he first came out on the reunion tour and I'll admit he definetly didn't have his range but he is getting better the more he sings. It's just like any injury, you have to heal and recouperate and retrain your muscles. As long as he keeps up his singing he will get back to where he was.

If ya don’t feel their earlier live performances, just that beautiful intro from Tremonti, leading up to that all out powerhouse of a voice from stapp, I think ppl really are lying cuz they think they need to hate creed. Here's a link that'll take you to a rare Scott Stapp solo performance from a couple years ago. His voice is mostly back. However, he probably won't recover to the point where he can hit all the Creed high notes consistently. He's had to change the way he sings now, but he sounds great doing it. Imagine hearing this live. Your standing there recovering from the last song. Then this absolutely beautiful guitar starts playing. You think it's a recording over the PA to bridge the songs, but no. It is Mark Tremonti and your jaw hits the floor as a guitarist yourself. You know Mark is holding back some of his talent. Fast forward a couple of years. "What If" comes out and you know that's just a taste. Fast forward a few more years. "In Loving Memory"...there it is again.

stefan salter yes Sir...I'm a Bail Bondsman, AND a Certified Addiction Specialist that works with Opioid Addicts....I offer everyone I bail out a 30 day inpatient treatment plan that's sponsored by a great place called CADAS here in Chattanooga Tennessee. There's also halfway house (OASIS) and out patient treatment for after the 30 day inpatient treatment. I've found that to break the cycle of opioid addiction, I've GOT to separate the addict from the drug....and ANYTHING under 30 days is useless. And by the way, anyone that thinks an opioid addict can kick heroin, Oxys, Dilaudid, etc. in a couple of days....has absolutely no idea what kinda monster they're truely dealing with....there's NO ADDICTION...like Opioid addiction...psychologically....and physically, nothing will take you to the edge of insanity like this disease....it truely...steals your soul...and yes, I know this personally...

Jeff Darnell,, you are a true human being that not only says what is correct and proven over time but you go the extra mile to ACT. There are a lot of folks that could do something,, anything to help, but do not for whatever reason. Jeff, you sir are an ANGEL. I have had my time with the awful addiction of opiates, that stole time from my life. To those critics, YES, IT WAS ME. that made that awful mistake to put those drugs in my body. But I wanted to give credit, as well, to the people in my life that helped me kick this drug out of my life, My Family, the counselors that worked with me. MY God that I prayed to so often that listen and helped me. Thank you Jeff Darnell, here's to you for helping others, you go boy!!
@jeffdarnell31547 жыл бұрын
stefan salter Thanks Stefan....most people it appears, don't want to deal with or try to just block out issues like opioid addiction or addiction in any form...till it grabs them or a family member, ESPECIALLY a child of theirs....then don't have a clue...I just BEG all people that are parents and plan to be parents, talk to your kids about it...how the shit can literally steal your soul, and do it honestly and let them know how dangerous it is. We are truely going through an EPIDEMIC of opioid abuse all across the country. And sadly to say, my enemy and targets are dealers. I increasingly seem to be hunting down children of friends of mine that have gotten caught up in this addiction, and will do WHATEVER I have to do to get them away from (most of the time it's a female with a drug dealing and/or addict) the person who's gotten them around the poison. I shouldn't say that because I have to take them on occasion due to a 29 fracture auto accident that got me into the whole scene. But I obey the law, and make sure I don't overuse or give any away. Nowadays....I even offer the people my targets are with help, it's gotten so bad out there. If anyone's got any trouble with their kids or husbands, contact me and we'll try to figure something out. I'm in Chattanooga Tennessee, but I have friends all over the country that I work and reach out to. God Bless...
