This is one of the most soul-stirring songs ever released in the early 2000s. SCOTT STAPP, CREED's lead singer, wrote "WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN" after learning he was going to be a father in early 1998. One of the reasons he felt compelled to do it was that he didn't want his child to endure the same difficulties he did as a youngster. Stapp came from a strong religious Christian family, and he didn't want his son to question himself and his faith like Scott did.

Just love this song and the group and of course Scott’s voice. I listened to Scott’s story about coming out of drug and alcohol addiction and finding God, and the man he is today. It made my day because I’m a Christian too, and it’s such a fulfilling life. God bless you Scott and your beautiful family. I’ll see you one day in heaven. Much love ❤️

Let's pray for each other for who have already believed in accepting-putting their trust/faith in our God-Creator-Father/God the Son Jesus Christ as The Savior of the world, for us who have and will do this, believing in acceptance a.k.a. putting your faith, trust in God our Creator Father/Son, the-our Savior. This to know, and believd that He died to take away our sin and its wages/debt of death=eternal separation-suffering completely onto Himself, was buried, rose again to Newness of life.. so as again, repeat it, to emphasize the simplicity of the Gospel=The GOD NEWS as we simply each, me, you personally believe-accept, a.k.a. put our trust/faith in Christ, Jesus and His dying to take our place&body of sin its wages/debt=death=eternal separation/suffering onto Himself on that cross(He who knew no sin became sin so that we then[by believing-acceptingtrusting/putting our faith in Him, what He did for us on the cross, conquering our old/dead body of sin] become the righteousness of God. This is a verse, I forget the book and chspter, though, look it up!😊) , that's right Hd, Jesus took the ain of the world upon Himself, to become it!!! So as we believe- accepting placing our faith/trust in The , our Savior=Jesus that He took our place, and body of sin its wages/debt of death [becoming our sin and its debt/penslty-death in being crucified, its bythis by simple believing/putting our faith, our trust in Jesus, what He did, finished for us on the cross conquering our sin&death and with it the slavery/power also of the world and the now condemned enemey, we receive God/,/the Lord-Jesus/the Holy Spirit and The/His gift of eyernal-yes forever forgiveness =grace , and eternal-forever life. [ So all in q again by believing-accepting a.k.a. placing or putting our faith/trust in Jesus, Christ, God, the Son, as our Savior and what He did described above and in His word starting in the gospels , I'd start with John, the most complete account of Jesus as Savior, by our believing, putting our fsith/trust in Jesus, what He did taking our place on the cross, our place-our body of sin, its debt-payment of forever separation=hell=death, and after was buried, and resurrected, risen to NEW LIFE IN JESUS, CHRIST , He-HIS work, defeated, by defeating/crucified our old dead body/man of sin&its debt/wages of death=hell=forever separation Christ, Jesus having defeating most of all that once certain total power and slavery of the old dead body/man sin&death we once were reigned by for every believer, now a "born-again Christian" and by conquering/crucifying our old fallen/dead body if sin&its debt-penalty of sin&death, He also defeated the overall limited power, yet slavery to satan/the devil, a.k.a. the bad-evil lying stealing, killing, did I say lying Enemey who stands condemned, conquered by this also conquered the complete power, slavery of the world...and in its place..gave us Himself in He/His gift of forever/eternal forgiveness=Amazing, Indescribable Gift of Grace, and Eternal Life-life forever with our God-Creator-Father-Savior, the One who is: Holy=Set Apart far, far, far highest above anything, or anyone, all Knowing, All Powerful, all Beautiful , all Light, Just Loving, God-The Father, God the Son-God the Holy Spirit, as our God-our Creator-our Father-the Son- our Savior All in One. If god created everything then why try to change what he has created and why send his son. If he’s almighty he could just snap finger and everything would be “perfect” Everything is already perfect as it is can’t you see and feel that everything is how it is meant to be. Existence doesn’t make mistakes. It flows like a river.

Lyrics: Well I just heard the news today It seems my life is gonna change I close my eyes, begin to pray Then tears of joy stream down my face With arms wide open Under the sunlight Welcome to this place I'll show you everything With arms wide open With arms wide open Well I don't know if I'm ready To be the man I have to be I'll take a breath, I'll take her by my side We stand in awe, we've created life With arms wide open Under the sunlight Welcome to this place I'll show you everything With arms wide open Now everything has changed I'll show you love I'll show you everything With arms wide open With arms wide open I'll show you everything, oh yeah With arms wide open, wide open If I had just one wish Only one demand I hope he's not like me I hope he understands That he can take this life And hold it by the hand And he can greet the world With arms wide open With arms wide open Under the sunlight Welcome to this place I'll show you everything With arms wide open Now everything has changed I'll show you love I'll show you everything With arms wide open With arms wide open I'll show you everything, oh yeah With arms wide open wide open

can't believe they got/still get so much crap....its honestly just because they are a Christian band. They have some dang good songs, with meaningful lyrics, and can actually perform live.......can't say that for half the "Talent" out there today.
