Eddie tried his best. He broke up with his exwife around 1991 so that he wrote the song. He later married her in 1994 but they divorced in ca 2000. He said he rly could do nothing to maintain that marriage. When he sang this in pinkpop 92, all that could be heard was sadness and angst. But after 2000, it was all about regret, reflection, and release

I think their Hyde Park 2010 show was the best they've ever had. Black, Better Man, Porch, Once, Go, Even Flow, Alive, Yellow Ledbetter. They nailed each one! Was there at this concert - so memorable. Thanks so much for this upload! Saw them just 4 days ago in Lisbon, perhaps for the eleventh or twelfth time. They are always always so f*ing BRILLIANT!
