Probably a rights issue. Also, Fogerty in several interviews said he hated their performance and that could be a reason as well.

no wonder those other 3 guys got jealous: Fogerty was the band. wrote every word, made every riff, plays every solo, sings every line.....they should've sat back, shut up and count the money.

Unfortunately, the promoter got almost all of the money. The band signed a contract from hell, then got great! John Fogerty quit and sued. The other guys got peanuts. Karl
