This video is pure joy. It had me almost in tears, realizing that human beings, if you dont mess with them, just want to dance, sing and, in general, have fun. Theres no room in the soul for nastiness, insane beliefs or wars . Peace and Love, you all .

Yes try and eliminate all " messing." Problem is often times one person's joy is another person's messing. There's just no way to totally eliminate someone's loud fun from messing with your peace of mind. Unless you can afford much better housing. And even then you must step into the mainstream of noise occasionally. Such as (1) Traffic (2) and many other parts of life that involve other people.

I was married to the most gorgeous girl those days. We had 44 amazing years together till 5 yrs ago when Leukaemia took her. Country girl who strangely didn’t have a passion for music. She was content for me to play all these songs and I watched helplessly as she gardened with her passion. Our joy seemed to come from each bringing something unique to our union. Had four great children who didn’t seem to follow my passion but did hers which gave them something very special through the rough teen years. They had no desire for nightclubs which was a huge relief for me. None would ever be caught dancing in the rain.....but in my heart I always have. Why does this music bring such comfort to me now she’s gone? I play it doing my housework and now 4.30 in the morning as I wake into a silent house. Bee Gees, Orbison, Chris Isaak, de Burg, Beatles, Foreigner, and so on. “I want to fall in love with you” Chris Isaak is my heart singing to my beautiful girl. And all those other artists express how I love her so much. I don’t fear she is up there looking down on my pain....we both knew one day we go for “a long sleep” as she has done and soon before this world destroys itself it’s Maker promised He would clear out the bad tenants, clean it up, and “the righteous will possess the earth and live forever on it”. He promised. Then she will “come out of the memorial tombs to a resurrection of life” and I will learn to garden beside her where “the lion will lie beside the lamb” and we will “build houses and dwell in them.” Meanwhile this great music reminds me of those special years as she raised bromeliads and hydrangeas and I mowed and dug the holes for her. I’m not alone in this am I? Lots of others must feel as I do.....surely. Cat Stevens is playing now as I write “Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning “ what comfort music brings to the heart....or roses or daises, but for me it’s the music of thethe 70’s.....I close this note on “Don’t want to be alone” BeeGees...all the best Mike Dodd I too one day will “look back” as you say...and I look forward so much to that time...

Creedence Clearwater Revival were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993... their compilation album Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits (released in 1976), is still on the Billboard 200 album chart and reached the 500-weeks mark in December 2020. Does that mean under-rated?

I heard John Fogerty explain the meaning of the song. He said back when the band was in its hayday, The band thought they would go on for a long time, but he said he could tell they wouldn't stay together because there was signs of a crack in their relationship even then. Listening to the song knowing his motive behind the words gives the song a whole new meaning.

Great song and great video. I'd love to see more people in real life dance outside more often no matter what the weather is like. We need more of it.
