Can’t get these browns to bite lures so far this year caught a few small one on worms . What do you suggest seems like your having no problem

What water temp are you in and what are you using?
@ynugsenju51472 жыл бұрын
@@CrouseOutdoors outside temps are around 40-45 on the days I went I would assume the water was at least 8-10 degrees colder juts bough a water temp gauge a few days ago haven’t gotten to use it yet . Mainly spinners gold is my favorite water was a bit dirty my lady caught one a month ago on a kast master so I’ve been tossing a lot of spoons also no luck
@CrouseOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
@@ynugsenju5147 ok. If water temps are below 40 those fish can be really lethargic and slow. So don't be afraid to slow down your presentation. Also this time of year can be tough, the fish aren't feeding a lot. Ive been out 4 times in the last month and got skunked twice. Learn how fish act and feed based on water temperature and check water temps when you fish. Adjust your presentation to the conditions of the water. That will help you a lot.
@ynugsenju51472 жыл бұрын
@@CrouseOutdoors I will put my gauge to use this year and I figured that maybe it was to cold for them so far this year the area I was fishing looked so promising it hurt to walk away with no bites or fish all day lol I see you use a lot of rapala baits and they seem to produce for you as well should I rub something like that ? I’ve always though they were a bit big for the fish
@CrouseOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Those 20"+ don't want to expend a bunch of energy for only a few calories. They will eat bugs and worms but if you want to get those awesome chase down attacks it needs to be a meal worth their effort. Just keep that in mind.

Trout opener is in 3 weeks here in Michigan. Can't wait, we have trout camp the whole week. Steelies are going now though, nice to be in the water instead of on top of it. We still have guys ice fishing on some of the lakes up here. Nice fish. Thanks.
