Wow your hunt made me tear up. So cool to be able to take a buck with your grandpa’s bow while he is still gracing this earth. I’m sure it made his day as much as yours. You have a beautiful family and those experiences are priceless. We need to some back to these wholesome experiences and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. God bless you and your family.

All these are great fish. “That’s why you get up at four o’clock”. It’s so awesome when we do get rewarded for our efforts and us Michiganders don’t have any excuses; some great fishing is just a couple tanks of gas and a trip up 75 or less away

She's a sweet pie, and I hope he realizes what a gem he has for a wife. Cute couple! But I think one day he needs to find out her dream vacation and take her there! That would make a great video, too!

Hello fishing brother. I’m in Southgate. That water looked good and that river looked like it had plenty of depth changes along your route. If you don’t mind; could you share where that’s at?

Nice brook trout there's only a couple trout species I never caught and the brook is one of them they remind me of lake trout. I've hooked into some big pike 15 plus pounds up in Canada and had big lake trout snatch them off my hook like a shark. Great video you have a lot of beautiful creeks and rivers in your area I just found your channel today and have been binge-watching all your videos. I've only fished Michigan one time and it was in the Kalamazoo River I only had live nightcrawlers I put three huge worms dangling off the hook with one little split shot and within 15 15 minutes I hooked a 12 pound largemouth Bass the biggest bass I caught up north all my trophy Bass came from the south Alabama Tennessee Georgia and Florida up until that fish my PB largemouth was 9 pounds. I've always wanted to hit Michigan for the salomon runs in the fall I've always went to New York for salmon and brownies mainly for brownies to get the spawn it's trout and salmon candy the steelhead can't resist you throw some brown trout spawn in a hole or a run they turn on like someone flipped a switch.

Brownies are the prettyest fresh water fish trout in general are beautiful but that gold and brown with hints of yellow and spots of red on a brown trout are like living art. There's nothing like fishing the great lakes and there tributaries best freshwater fishing in the US hands down they have the size and the numbers only place you can hook up on 100 plus trophy fish in a day Smalley's 23" steelhead 36" salmon 40” and bigger 15lb walleye when the fish are running up the rivers spawning or getting ready to or fallowing shad the fishing can be intense and nonstop.

That water looks like perfect pike habitat nice little current thick cover half shade and sun most of the time if there's pike there's bass and sunfish and smaller pike all perfect pike food. I miss catching theme I lived up north in Ohio now I live in Virginia and no pike only pickerel and they get 10 plus pounds but not quite as big as pike. Great video and that river is beautiful looks like a place where you can get some really nice Bass and decent pike. I love rivers that don't have a lot of bank access and no boat ramps it's either a canoe or a kayak getting in the water keeps the fishing pressure way down nothing worse than a Bass boat with a 500 HP motor flying around the river making whitecaps when trying to be quite a stealthy LoL.

Hello from Belgium. A little tip: if you want to increase your take-rate on the Whopper-Plopper, I suggest replacing the original hooks by f.i. Gamakatsu hooks with straight hook tips. The standard hooks have the tips inclined inwards. It certainly increase my take-rate with appr. 40%
