I worked on the mudflats for many years collecting shellfish, sacks of them. I found many items, ink wells, cod bottles, stoneware, an array of Differant bottles, clay pipes. I have the first pipe ever made ! I took it to the local museum and they authenticated it, tiny bowl as tobacco was very expensive when it first came here. I found the pipe in Southampton waters.

The Harrods bot is a true belter, but I wouldn't cut it at all, please leave it as is. The poison was also such a beauty, I love the colour. What made me chuckle was the soundbite you placed in the final editing when Josie used a bit of "salty" language. The tiny marm was also a favourite of mine, I love seeing stoneware with some age. As always, I loved this video, and wonder what treasures you didn't find whilst squelching through the gravy! Take the best of care Mudpies!

Great finds once again! That green poison was amazing! If you're up for an engineering experiment, I've seen local rockhounds here come up with a homemade tool to increase visibility in creeks and rivers. They take a small bucket (like a 2 gal baker's bucket), cut out and discard the bottom, and replace the bottom with a clear plastic like plexiglas or lexan. They epoxy it up so it's completely watertight again. When the new bottom is submerged just below the surface, you can see a lot more clearly because you've bypassed all the surface refraction. It may not be perfect with this much silt, but it's probably still a big improvement.

You really do bring the mud into mudlarking. Great finds under very difficult visibility, but on a plus no dripping noses. 😁 I’d leave the Harrods, you could always cut it if/when you find another one. Love all your videos but the creek is my particular favourite location.

Charles Perez,Cleveland Ohio Mudpies Bureau chief,reporting for duty. The cocktail shaker shaped bottle is fantastic!! If James Bond had a say in it,it would have contained vodka,shaken,not stirred. BTW,do you know why he requested it that way? Because shaking a martini dilutes the Martini more,giving him the upper hand over his enemies in the casino,he was more clear headed. Just a little fun fact. Also that Harrod’s bottle,VERY cool. I have a Harrod’s story from 1995,when I was helping open a restaurant in Covent Garden: I was walking into Harrod’s,and the doorman stopped me. He told me that I could not enter,because I wasn’t wearing the right type of pants! Well,I wasn’t wearing pants at all! Whoah! Allow me to explain: I was wearing short pants,which is,apparently against dress code. The greatest thing about Harrod’s is the wooden escalators,a thrill to experience. Plus,they’re chocolate covered strawberries. Don’t get me started about those.
