Heya Squelch Squad! Today we went full send and dug our biggest hole yet at our local Edwardian / Victorian dumpsite...It was rather fruitful🤩🤩🤩

The bone disk looks to be part of a baby pacifier . The KZbinrs Northern Mudlarks have covered this in a couple of their vlogs. Refer to their 1year old vlog titled “Deadly Dummies & Mystery Finds” starting at 8:24 for another piece of the pacifier & at 9:17 to see the pacifier assembled w/ the disk.

My favorite find was puss at the end of the video!! Ha ha. No all the lovely blue bottles and the Effel Tower fruit juice bots cos my mum used to make me lemonade from their crystals one of those tiny bottles made a whole load of drink. You used to be able to get it in the 60's cos when I was first married I used to buy it. It came in a glass bottle in a box. Love the cockeral too.

I like the little demon 😈 I've found a fairly local dump that I got a rare local Cheshire pub beer bottle from and a lovely compass brand green coffee bottle, but it's right by a road, so I get nervous digging it 😂 Some cracking finds there!

What a Pleasant Surprise to see your video posted!! I think whoever was drinking the fruit salts needed the the magnesia to recuperate from the sour stomach. As far as the Philip's Milk of Magnesia goes, your bottle is an earlier blown variant. They later switched to a cobalt bottle that is very common here in the states. I will say that the dirt was flying out of that hole. Well done, those visits to the gym have definitely paid off Josie. Can't wait for part 2!!😀💪🚴‍♂🥐

In the States we did have stuff called devilled ham that had a devil on it, but I can not remember what it looked like. That could be what your mom is thinking about. I have been gone from the States for a while and I do not even know if they still have it or not.

The bone disc with the hole is from either a bone baby's dummy, or the horrible baby bottles of the day that had long rubber tubes that could not be properly cleaned, and caused a lot of infant mortality. The Northern Mudlarks have a couple of videos about them.

I like all the blue/aqua glass. They are very pretty in a grouping intensifying the color. I remember the devil torso from the 70's but I recall bugs bunny or something in a cartoon. I can't place it either.

Dear Mudpies, the first bone piece you found is a nail implement. The point is for cleaning under the nail and the rounded end is for pushing back the cuticle.

Awesome video! Great finds. Apparently the Eiffel Tower drink didn’t agree with someone who needed milk of magnesium! I believe the bone disc is part of a feeding bottle for babies. Love the stoneware. It is my favorite. 😊 The devil looks like the Mascot for Underwood’s Deviled Ham. It was quite gross. 😮

The bone ring at 10:10 is part of a baby's dummy according to the Northern Mudlarks. The nipple would have stuck thru the hole. I've never seen such a complete horse and soldier dug before.

There were many Red Devil brands in the US in the early 1900’s - one was a paint or varnish.

There was also a brand of lye called Red Devil that was used as a drain cleaner, it is mentioned in various blues songs - - and throwing lye in a person's face was how more than one blind bluesman became blind - - Blind Willie Johnson was a victim of this sort of assault.

What beautiful bottle you've found! I love that large, faintly baby blue bottle by Phillip's! Absolutely a stunner. That lead soldier is fantastic! Never saw one that big or intact. My other favorite find is the chicken. For your devil chap, could it be for deviled ham? That type of character was popular in 1920, like in the Shirley Temple movie, "The Little Princess" (one of my favorite movies). The end of the video came too soon 😩 When I saw your Mudpies logo, I exclaimed aloud, "Heyyyy!" because I thiught we weren't going to see a picture of the kitty but then we got to see him (or her?), and that made me happy. You two bring such joy to so many people but more importantly, you two seem to have fun, too. We love you both and always wish (and pray) that you are doing and feeling well!
