Right!? It must have something to do with the transition from amateur to professional and record label infringements or something like that. Such a a shame. I would have given all those videos to a friend of a friend of a friend for uploading to circumvent any contract violations and then just played dumb. Many of her covers are better than the originals and even better than her original songs! Considering I don’t hear any of her songs on the radio, there’s a high chance that she could have made more money monetizing her channel than she ever could have trying to become a solo artist. But you never know unless you try. I feel like she was just one well written song away from becoming big. One of the best voices I’ve ever heard.

As an amateur she could claim fair use of the copyright, as she is not doing the song for anything but artistic interpretation. When she had a commercial contract this would no longer be the case. She would need express permission to use the song's copyright. It was much less expensive to just take her stuff down.

I remember her posting about some personal trauma on her IG account a while ago. I had the impression she suffered some kind of harassment and didn't want to continue in the industry (with recent cases like Diddy or R Kelly, I don't blame her for quitting). She deleted the post though, just like her channel
