@thecringeinspector5636Ай бұрын
Many people criticize it because the story has a happy ending that feels almost unrealistic with how positive it is, which I completely understand. But in my personal opinion, it's perfect and exactly what I needed after going in blind like an idiot and unfortunately getting reminded of my own experiences with SA that I'm still trying to find better ways to cope with. I mentioned this already in a reply under the original video of Wendi and Hunter reviewing it but their lightheartedness yet seriousness surrounding the story and specific topic helped me a lot with getting through the whole story too and I appreciate them a lot for being so down-to-earth and amazing as human beings. @@rue6914 like and good aren't mutually inclusive. I really like the star wars prequels, but they are really flawed movies.

Borrasca V is a good pallet close after the harrowing experience of the first 4 parts.

Hunter singing AC DC when the story goes to hell had me wheezing

Trying to stifle my laughter in the office as I listen to Hunter's surprisingly good Brian Johnson impression while he and Isaiah have a mental breakdown singing AC/DC has been the highlight of my day so far, so thank you LMAO

Finally someone who got it right. Everyone else is saying it was highway to hell but was really shoot to thrill when they duetted. Damn kids don’t know good music and assumed it was all the same song. Tsk tsk

This feels like a prime example of sometimes extra stories just aren't necessary. I feel like the first one would have been a fantastic standalone. There was good elements in the followups but nothing as great as the original story

I despise stories that end on cliff hangers like that and never expand, of course this was not a good expansion

Thats what I'm saying, people are shit talking the author but this happens constantly where there's a great story and the author ties it off nicely but readers demand more so the continuation ends up almost as a "fuck you" cause honestly the author is pressured to ruin their art.

The last part isn't meant to be a comedy; it's meant to be played serious. "Borrasca V" is written the exact same way, but it takes 5 hours to read through it. Reason I've recommended _against_ "Borrasca V" it since the pod started.

Am I completely misremembering Borrasca V? I read it a few months ago and loved it. But after listening to this…
@Unregistered.HyperCam.23 ай бұрын
@@thishonestgrifter It's possible. Did you read it or listen to a narration? Did you pay full attention? Did you by chance listen to the audio drama and assume it was the exact same as "I-IV" and "V" but in a different format? (None of these are meant to be accusatory; rather, I've ran into people praising "Borrasca V" enough times where they either just listened to the audio drama or a narration that they didn't dedicate full focus to and ended up getting so much of the story wrong in their heads.)

My wife is a huge fan of you both and your podcast inspired her to write a r/nosleep story. It isn't posted yet, but she has been working on it over a month, and I think it'll be right up your alley, Hunter.
