My SIL took his family here to vist his army buddy and family who have a place on this lake. My grandchildren had a blast riding jet skis and swimming. I'm so glad I didnt know about the creature until now.

When you think about the amount of experienced cave divers that have lost their lives for unknown reasons (they supposedly panicked, their regulator was out of their mouth even though they still had air left, etc) it makes you wonder if they ran into something. People don't really investigate or question when a diver perishes because it's so common and so dangerous.

Creepy, that was a good one. I don't have any phobias per se, but a story like this definitely brings out some claustrophobia, fear of the dark ( scotophobia ), and thalassaphobia ( deep water ). They all come out a little bit to really add some genuine primal fear into the reader's reaction!
