@@taylorsrevengeofficial6823 I looked it up. What's racist about that? It's just a black kid that falls into a river. The fact that this kid is at ease shows that the town can't be very racist. Anyways, even if it is 'racist,' this dates back long ago. Times were a tad different back then. And people weren't oversensitive like they are today. And no, I don't care about it since so-called systemic racism barely exists today. There's more racism coming from minorities and blacks in today's culture than you'll ever see coming from white people - and yet amazingly it's either ignored or accepted.

I think everyone is missing the point. It really isn’t creepy. Granted, the times of yesteryears with the ridicule of the black people and the Machismo nature are apparent and wrong, but let’s think about the message. The girl didn’t pay much attention to the men. She was just in her room. When she saw the men, they wanted to take her out. This was her only opportunity to escape her strict household, which she could never leave. It may have looked as if she was simply a gold digger, but really she was trying to see who had the faster car to get her out of there. The first guy was affluent, given his clothings. He was the one with the better car. After it fell in the lake, the other man trying to impress her takes her in his car to go on a date. After she thinks she’s gone far enough and tries to go to the moon, representing freedom. Her father shoots her balloon down and shoots the moon, indicating that she will never have freedom again.

Fun fact : old films are more creepier than the modern horror film because it's black and white, the frame rate is still not good, the graphic is not good, and they use dolls or animation to make films. So, here's the story, in case you missed it. The girl's boyfriend ("The Nice Young Man") arrives, plays music, and another man ("The Sailor", which is usually not "The Nice Young Man") shows up as a rival. The mother tries to end it, but is bonked on the head with a flower pot. "The Nice Young Man" decides to get the girl to elope with him (with the garden-fence-turned-into-a-ladder). She falls on her backside, and the Sailor tries to intervene...However, she goes away with her boyfriend, who is not a good driver. He knocks a kid (who is fishing) into the river, and then ends up in the river, himself. The Sailor (who has a wind-powered vehicle) is just as bad a driver...he knocks the fishing kid (again), and the girl decides to go with him, but reconsiders. She blows up a balloon, which takes her up to safety, away from the two young men. The moon helps her to get home, where her father shoots the balloon. She lands safely at her parents' home. Her father realizes that beer might have been the cause, but shoots the actual culprit--The Moon!

Every Christmas my Granny would have vintage dolls and teddy bears around the tree and I was so creeped out by them. I never had the heart to tell her that they scared the fuck out of me every night during the Christmas week, so if I had to get up to get a drink of water or go to the kitchen in the middle of the night for any reason I would just turn them to face the wall so I couldn't see their faces. She would complain in the morning and fix them, but no one said anything and I never ratted myself out. Her being slightly frustrated was worth not having nightmares on Christmas Eve😂

@@candioree8456 Literally the whole thing’s sad(I’m pretty sure this was around the Great Depression.) The was so many things odd/creepy/terrible in this short film. 1. The disturbing stop motion/animation . I think the stop motion is amazing and unique but there’s no doubt it’s creepy in my eyes. 2. The music…(I’m not sure if the person edited it or not) but the creepy depressing music definitely makes it even creepier. 3. The teens knocked out the mom or killed her. 4. A black person got ran over TWICE AND DIED. 5. I’m pretty sure the girl lives in a strict or abusive household that’s why she was trying to leave. 6. I also think her father won’t let her have freedom because she had a balloon or something and tried to get away he shot the balloon and made her come back. The message is so clear, the *_Taurus generation_* explaining to us millennials, _Scorpio’s generation,_ that the moon, family, having a boyfriend means NOTHING, and nothing wrong with staying with your parents forever until they say goodbye....... the right way probably and honestly something millennials have learned the hard way...... just like our lesson to the future or past Taurus generation is, DONT WORK, stay home, many jobs can be done at home, at least they’ve always been, will always be....... I love this video ~Scorpio Pluto
