This is an excellent short film about greed, consumerism, and scientific progress. I love the animation style, it’s so unnerving with its realistic features and irregular movement, it gives quite an uneasy feeling. The story itself is a world with a solution to everything. It’s scary once the downward spiral begins and we see the world unravel and revert to what it once was, only for the cycle to (supposedly) begin again. Edit: The comments have some great insight on the dystopian ideas this video has!

95% of problems in the world result from human greed. What’s interesting is that, nowadays, AI, a technology that could do all of our work for us, will probably be monopolized by big corporations. Mass unemployment will happen and the divide will deepen. Of course most people are too blind and distracted nowadays by the media to see any of this.

It's not greed. It's government. Control of the masses. A hierarchical plan from divine consciousness itself. One someone at the bottom may never understand just how important it really is to save humanity from itself. Sin is everywhere to test us all to see how faithful and pure we truly are, and so many of us give into that temptation and prove just how necessary the greater good through sacrifice truly is. All of this "bad" in the world is there to purify the world on the fly throughout time itself, and its necessity will never go away. "Satan" is a fundamental purity tester to make sure we all have a purpose in life by saying no to the temptation, and following a higher path.

@@tea-zv6hm I think what they mean is that if Cream can fix anything and improve anything to no clearly defined limit, then cream itself must be absolute perfection itself. You can’t get better than Cream. So you would think cream would turn everything else into cream too, because that’s the best thing to be. But that wouldn’t make people happy, that’d be a grey goo scenario. this reminds me immediately of how once the phillips company had invented the perfect lightbulb that lasted so long that people would purchase it and save a lot of money. they wouldnt even need to worry about buying it once again owing to how longlasting it was. but when they realised that people would just buy this lightbulb in bulk and never buy another one from them again, and reduce their profits, they added flaws to their lightbulbs and decreased their efficiency to ensure that people would return to their stores for subsequent purchases thereof. just goes on to prove how the media works hand-in-hand with the rich and manipulates the truth to further the interests of the upper class.
