This time we had a special mission: We wanted to explore an abandoned mental asylum which is still partly in use. After several years of vacancy, the area became an impenetrable jungle but the thicket was a perfect visual cover. So we were able to move unseen on the property. The over 12-hectare big compound consists of 20 buildings in total. By now all of them have become overgrown and in a lot of the houses are still furnishings left behind. But the site has a very dark history which we are revealing in this episode.

Great segment for two reasons: first, by having not only amazing visual shots of this site but of educating people with the tragic and negative history of the place. It is important to remind people of these things so humanity never repeats these atrocities. And second: Tobi joining the BWT team! I love it as I'm a huge fan of his photography. Your videos are much more exciting than many movies are!!! Especially when you are visiting old asylums like this, it's no mystery anymore how people were treated there all those years ago, and while you are talking and telling us the gruesome truth about the compound, we are shuddering at the images that appear before our mental eyes. Dang it fellas.. 10 minutes is just not long enough.. I know it is time consuming and costly and I can not help in either way (I am old and on a fixed income)... But as I have mentioned before your vids are mesmerizing... I do not have any social media accounts (I am mostly a loner and do not trust hackers to take what information I have on my computer) and do not really know about the other stuff... But I do like my youtube to watch.. is there any way you can make longer video's or maybe a way I can string them all together (I love to watch them over again) At any rate.. you fellas make me smile in your production plus the joy to know that every young one in this world is not just out for themselves... carry on me.. your work is appreciated..

First of all, thank you very much! We really appreciate this comment. For even longer videos we need a better storyline, so the episodes don't get boring. And yes, it is reeeaaally time consuming already. So at this point, we have to keep our videos at 10-15 minutes.

How odd...this reminded me, when my daughter was young she was the singer in a band. They wanted band pics, I am a photographer. I knew where a really awesome abandoned high school was. So we went and snuck into the building and I took all of their band pics there. In the old auditorium and in the hall by the lockers. They turned out great!

These places have a story to tell but not always happy ones, very depressing for those who were in there and had to endure terrible therapies and staff having to work there. Glad they are closed but on the photographic side wonderful photos capture the decay and history of the Mental Asylum.

I suppose the white cat seen @06:38 lost part of it's ear in a fight, was born that way or had skin cancer. I had a white cat many years ago, and their skin is so fair that they are prone to skin cancer if allowed to spend a lot of time outside.

Mate, I’m enjoying your vlogs, the only gripe I have is that your entering very old and rotting buildings. There is paint pealing off the walls and ceilings, dust as well a mould everywhere. Really well presented and nicely covered - this might as well have been a documentary... but dang I hate those vintage/retro bluish blacks - it takes some of the mystery and peacefulness away from the shots, but it's just an opinion. It also kind of put things into perspective that so much presumably sensitive data has just been left as if each patient was just a number.
