From what I’ve heard, the Amiibo function on the armband unlocks a costume in mario kart. It’s supposed to be the racing uniforms displayed in the queue for the coaster.

Cant wait for our nintendo world in FL, and i have the same sentiment with Orlando's Galaxy's edge it IS amazing, immersive, very well made etc. etc. but at the same time i feel like alot of the enjoyment and best theming is in the restaurants / stores. Its like im in the worlds coolest shopping mall(not trying to be too reductive here i just cant find the right words), which really is a drag when i cant afford to do anything but beg to get us in line for Rise. Love that you guys have kept up the COC! I watch every one, Thanks y'all

I wonder if universal studios had a contract with Panda Express and they weren’t allowed to remove or relocate the franchise without Panda Express’s approval. Same thing is going on in my hometown of Redlands CA. CVS is holding up the reconstruction of an entire (almost abandoned and empty) mall that blocks a popular walking street. Apparently CVS has a contract to be there for another 20 years and doesn’t want to budge

Galaxy's Edge looked like it was nearing the level of immersion as what they achieved in Nintendo World, in regards to apps/wristbands, but they just never followed through with it. I have a Resistance rank and a bunch of credits from Smuggler's Run and the other activities, but it all means nothing. The new bounty hunting activity sounds fun, but the reputation was really what got me excited. Here's hoping Disney follows through now that Disneyland finally has MagicBands.

this land doesn't really seem like it'll be a thing for me at 26, but man if I was a kid and I went here i'd lose my mind. I remember going to universal when I was 7 because we stopped by it on our vacation to disneyland and everything was really adult and I was scared of almost everything so I think its super cool that there's places for kids to geek out here too 40 dollars USD for those bands seems like highway robbery though

Have you done the creature bounty Hunter challenge at galaxies edge? You use your magic band+ which will light up and vibrate as you look for aliens. You turn in those bounties to a alien character for credits.

The Mario Kart ride is also slow because they had to maximize the limited space they had for the show building. A fast ride requires more track, which requires more space.

It's funny because there is a game at the great wolf lodge hotel chain called magiquest where you use your wand to interact with things in the hotel, get quests from kiosks and solve riddles on what to interact with and it unlocks new ways to interact with stuff all leading to boss fights with dragons and such on a big screen. My kids and I love it. I am so stoked to do the mario stuff.
