This thing is a nightmare if you're infantry and the enemy has one on the field. It is extremely effective as anti-infantry. Infantry supports the tanks, tanks support the AC, AC supports the infantry. The triad.

Always have an armored car around tanks and infantry. They are very helpful in deterring infantry from attacking your guys. Its also fantastic for securing logi routes. One or two of these bad boys in the back lines can easily keep away the pesky partizans. Meanwhile the rest of your team does not have to send much needed infantry and tanks to the back. They are free to keep the fight going while you help hold everything under control.

You know what I like about the armored car plan? The fact that it leaves more components for us builders, who these days have been unable to get to Tier 3 because the fields are constantly empty, and for some reason we have more tanks than we can man. Seriously though, why are we forced to share a resource with tankers? Wouldn't it make more sense to rename sulfur Pyrite (which has both sulfur and basalt, which is common rock), and then turn that into gravel in a refinery, to then put in a cement mixer? It's really dumb how T3 works, because you can't even store components in a sea port or warehouse, it's an all or nothing thing. It's no wonder it's so hard to repair T3 bunkers, there's no spare components just lying around to be turned into cement.

Why it's a shared resource? Because it gives clans a decision on whether to put it into construction or armour. Decisions add depth to the game. (Solo players often only build or make tanks, so sadly it doesn't really add that much depth for them.)

All about that combined arms, man. Your AC helped hold the INF rush against the bunker! / Protect the tanks from stickies. If people think something is bad it's usually because they don't understand it's powers/limitations and where/when to use it. Some wars ago I had a lil' 30mm tankette that I held onto for a long time, even when better tanks were coming out. It can make for useful bait.

Tanks support AC's, AC's support infantry, infantry supports the tanks. A front without AC's is lacking a piece of the triad. Anti-infantry AC's are an absolute nightmare for enemy infantry, and extremely hinders them from using close/mid-range anti-tank weapons.

I haven't played, but WW2 tanks are more designed for medium range combat not close quarters. As seen stickys or some dude with a gas grenade can take a tank out easy. An armored car helps alleviate those issues by being able to dodge and being cheaper from what I hear. And while WW1 tanks were meant as trench clearers, there wasn't many effective at weapons out there other than mortars or other explosives. My point of this is yes, armored car ftfw

my first war in foxhole was like war 3 on shard 3 at the official launch. I was playing wardens in Kingston in west gate. 8 collie armoured cars flanked us and cut logi. we were all unskilled and had no way to kill them, they were too fast for our mamons. the town fell that day and then the relic and then hold fast. we were destroyed. and that's why Westgate is still my favourite part of the map

I mean anything that's immune to small arms fire and has a machinegun is pretty lethal against infantry, you're not a big enough threat for most AT to focus you first, but you'll be cleaning up any tank's infantry escort or breaking infantry charges

I really wanted to enjoy armored cars but only time it was somewhat useful was on a front where only infantry was present and only for about 10 minutes, after that every enemy infantry had AT guns in hand. On open fronts there is always a towed anti tank gun and if enemy tanks are present you might as well justs park the car somewhere and grab a mammon.

I’ve had a dream about foxhole Wardens got SUPER HEAVY TANK, they can only build 10, and thier extremly expensive, I was playing as collies and having THE BIGGEST BATTLE in all of foxhole, guns everywhere, poeple deing every second, ranks bieng destroyed, offense turns into defense defense turns into offense every moment of the battle, an airdrop drops(collies have the ability of air superiority/they control the air but wardens have airdefence and it’s rare to see planes because it’s only used for big enneagram positions)but because this is A HUGE BATTLE AND ALL RECOURCES ARE NEEDED, it’s a forest region, and it’s FULL OF RECOURCES, who controls this area, and defends it well, the game is won, so an airdrop drops, I go near it get into a Jeep with a matching gun, and try portect it and SWEAR, the supper heavy tank that is really op but EXTREMLY rare, shows up blazing speed shooting me down and stopping near the drops, and it turns out to be an AMBUSH by the collies, and 4 collie normal heavy tanks shooting from 4 sides, the super heavy is desperate but it doesn’t DIE, one of them loses a commander, I replace him and the super heavy tank gets destroyed and all of our heavies as well, and it’s not end with cheers by us collies, no, huge infantry assault, in the trees shooting, can’t extinguish friend from foe, everybody suppressing and shooting randomly everywhere, and then we spot a small bridge full of wardens, and it’s the main bridge warden scum are using to supply and send troops throu I as a captain in the game(I have never played the game because my pc is pretty bad)I send an air bombing area, quickly 2 fighter and 2 bombers coming from the air destroying the bridge and killing wardens like small flies in a bucket. The chat is full of cheers,sounds of collies deliberating, WE WON THE BATTLE, and only 5 super heavies left , And thier only way of wining is trying to group the 5 heavies but it’s near imposible because we have complete air supprerioty and our air bases are perfectly hidden in the forest area. What a greate battle I had in my dream, i hope in the next wars something like a the biggest battle were 90% of soldiers are in 1 region, with 7% protecting the wings and the 3% supplying and fighting thier way to supply.
