There is so much confusion about scripture and money that the lines between truth and error. The only comment I have is that we also must read the other gospels about this event. In Mark 10:24 which says the rich young ruler left because he trusted in his riches and not in Jesus. Riches is not a problem, the issue is how you obtain it, your motives and if you trust it rather than God. It's obvious that for people it's more difficult to trust God when you have materials things to meet your physical needs. But money cannot buy peace or life. I don't know Dr Dollar's personal finances history and can't make judgements based on this short interview. The key is we must not even allow the perception of sin.

The hundred fold was based on "If the rich man had done this but he didn't because he walked away sad because he had great wealth". If he had have given his wealth away THAT is what he would he would have received. So Creflo is manipulating the passage and that's misinterpretation of Gods word. A minister with the last name Dollar sent a cautious light the first time I saw him on TV. Ashame he's seems to be living up to his surname apparently. You think Creflo would give his millions away to the poor if the holy spirit told him too?????

Dollar totally turned that parable around with his wrong interpretation. In Matthew 19:27, Peter said to Jesus: We have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have? Then in the 28-29 versus Jesus tells them the benefit of following Him, which is receiving a hundredfold and inherit eternal life. Jesus was not talking about the rich man that walked away mad, and not willing to give up all he has for eternal life. Dollar has been misleading people for years. The sad part is when his congregation see this interview, they will believe him, and continue to follow him and his teachings. He doesn't know God word. James 3:1 says: My brother, and let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

Notice that in verse 30 that it says that he will receive a hundred times as much now IN THIS PRESENT AGE all of that stuff WITH PERSECUTIONS, and in the age to come, eternal life. Evaluate the scenario: Pastor dollar (along with MANY in his congregation and other congregation) experiencing prosperity and being persecuted. "How did you get the money?" "Why didn't you refuse?" "Who are you to receive all of this?" Just shedding light.

He has blessed many followers in business and continues to do so! Why is it that as soon as that person is a pastor or in the public eye that he receives so much scrutiny. I used to think preachers like this were abusing their congregation, and they are to an extent, but if you tolerate, encourage and endorse a man who manipulates scripture for his own end, then you probably get what you deserve. Better to get up, walk out, and keep following Christ. This man will one day give an account for his actions, but those who follow his false teachings will also give account for theirs. Please anyone reading who goes to Creflo's church, consider eternity not temporal satisfaction when deciding whether to leave his church or not. I think it's pretty clear what to do unless the Lord has plans for you to stay for some reason.

I enjoyed this interview with the CNN reporters and Dr. Dollar. He conducted himself during the interview with integrity. I personally don't know why he bothered excepting the invitation to the interview. Its unfortunate that people disagree with the prosperity (financial) part of God Word specially when seen at the fore front of the church (Pastor). I don't know about you. But I would rather have a Pastor showing the example of the Word for me to follow (relationship, financial, health, marriage, etc.) for perfection (maturity). As Jesus is doing as a perfectionist (w/out sin).

Everyone who commented negatively stays in the poor man's state of mind. Why bash someone who is clearly trying to help non-believers see the truth in God's way of abundance? He is simply saying that God wants us to have an abundant life. I rather hear this from someone who has an abundance than hear from someone found begging all the time. If I am sick, I go to a doctor not another sick person for advice. I know that his messages of grace and prosperity has made me believe in how much God really loves me and wants for me. One beautiful thing about the truth, it does not change irrespective of your views. When you do die, you will regret it unless you get saved by JESUS CHRIST before then.
