the easy answer why wait so long IS it's not your home's style. We have ceremony like this more than 1,000 years ago, I also do not know the real reason (so detailed). You know? million things on earth people see it weird because just they only know few things in their country. Please do not show how idiotic you are, especially if you come from 'developed country' How funny, some people in 2017 still strongly re-act to what they've even never known or learned about.

No doubt. BBC and some western press are not a professional reporters. The way they do their jobs are kind of propagandists who received order from someone who have much of dirty money attempted to deliver false fag news or half truth to audiences and anticipate negative feeling of audiences towards their target country or persons (many times people saw them pretend to be idiot or pretend to be innocent). People seen and gradually understood the way they work nowadays and world will know who they are behind reporters masks. What a shame these dirty mind people do their dirty jobs

@Bave Drokie are you trying to insult or something
The King single handedly used his influence to lift MILLIONs of people out of poverty and promoted democracy and human development in the 70 years he ruled Thailand. He took on unconventional and redefined role of a monarchy and traveled to all corners of his country without reluctance and took on developmental challenges first hand. He concentrated his missions on the most vulnerable of his subjects and enabled them to change the way they live through education, land reforms and deveopmental projects in agricultures. Thailand literally became the 4th largest tourist nation as a direct result of his lifelong work and devotion. It is evident that he's a stateman of global stature, the United Nations general assembly held special sessions to pay tribute to him, if his actions were of propaganda nature, the more than 200+ member countries would not have agreed to that.

I am gonna make 4 points here. The 4th point is about my own experience on the royal cremation day. Keep in mind that English is not my mother tongue. 1 Many products we export today were originated from his projects. Many products we used to import, can now be grown and/or made domestically. Likewise, the domestic production were from his projects. On the world economic chart, clearly, Thailand is not doing so bad. We rank 12th on top 20 countries with surpluses. These couple of years, we are seeing more sky trains, subways, speed trains, which are now being built and projected to be built in many parts of the country. There are two international airports in Bangkok, each is always on the expansion. One in U Tapao to facilitate those mentioned 2. And 3 to 4 other international airports nationwide. So, having said that, I am sorry to have disappointed many of you who still think we ride elephants to schools. We don't, unless voluntarily. 2 His Royal visits always brought great changes that we saw for real. Electricity, water supply, paved roads, dikes, dams, job, learning, medical centers followed each of his visit to all the hidden villages during his 70 years on the throne. His official overseas state visits also brought about changes to Thailand. 3 Who would have thought that Thailand would be able to have our own systematic dairy farming???? Our people used to grow up on imported powdered milk, oh dear, we were loosing billions annually. Who would have thought that Thai jasmine rice would be in the world market? Who would have thought that fruits once used to be imported can now be grown on our land? As a kid the I grew up thinking strawberry, apple, avocado were premium fruits, but with his projects These fruits, as well as others, were hugely available in any local market near you. See the 4000 projects, oh dear, these are all quality of life and occupation-related. Many products we export today were originated from his projects. 4 The day of his State Cremation I was not one of the 250,000 people in the nearby royal crematorium venue. Because I knew the area would be able to accommodate only to such amount of people, and there were also systematic security and ID scanning. 24 hours before, I saw more were lining up, hoping to get into the said area. However, prior to that, the govt had assigned many temples as the secondary royal crematoriums. I went to 4-5 different places, parked my car, hopped on motorbike taxis ( they were so kind, they offered free service) to seek for the shorter line of people. Everywhere I went I saw miles of human lines coming out from the temple on the the pavements, and out to all along the roads. To the point I thought I should have stayed put at the first temple I went. But all in all, he was the greatest king, and we were so willing to go through anything to bid him an honorable fair well.

I'm not very educated in this area so may i ask . Is the king also the ruler of the country or is there a president aswell ? And within the year of mourning do they choose a new king or wait after the year and the next family members takes the position?
@bosspong84807 жыл бұрын
Theoretically , King is positioned as ‘Head of State’ There’s no president (president is head of state for a republic country which has no Monarch) But there’s a Prime Minister who is head of government to run the country After the king is dead , The Prince (Specifically The Crown Prince ) shall be a new King immediately This politic system is called ‘Constitutional Monarchy’
@AomNerdy7 жыл бұрын
daniella baraka It took a year because of ancient tradition of Thai royalty , and The King 10 already chose by King 9 many years ago, so after this mourning, we will do ceremony for new King .

King is the Head of the nation but also under the laws like every citizen. We have democracy system that people do voted in the election for the Prime Minister who will be leading the government. After the deceased of the previous king, the crowned prince will instantly attend the coronation ceremony and take the throne within 24 hours regarding the Palace regulation of the royal family laws. Please mind my English.

This man is a great king.....he had a shelter put in place to help ALL the dogs of their country, city (?). They do not believe in putting them down......when they are picked up from streets, they are taken to the shelter. They are taken care of medically if injured and all their needs met. They try to adopt them out, spay/ neuter, etc. The streets had homeless dogs everywhere, so he tried taking care of problem an has given millions to shelter. Yet, there are still lots of dogs homeless. The KIng Adulyadej only comes around once in a blue moon......he really loved his own dogs an all dogs!

Why was he cremated so late? Ay ritual? Tell me please i wanna know? If he was cremated a year later how his body is not decomposed?
@pwpw8822 Жыл бұрын
It is our old tradition to keep the body for 1 year. Numerous merit making ceremonies are made for him and crematorium is built during this 1 year mourning period. We tend to keep the deceased body this long, especially for the body of the deeply beloved and revered person like that of His Majesty.
@binjinririjeongmin3896 Жыл бұрын
@@pwpw8822 thank you so much. Does this happen for all thai people like from rural side too?
@pwpw8822 Жыл бұрын
@@binjinririjeongmin3896 This tradition is usually associated with people with higher status as they tend to be loved and respected by many. Keeping a body this long somewhat portrays how much the deceased is endeared to their relatives, to have them overcome their sadness and give them enough time to do merit makings for the deceased. However, a deceased would normally be cremated in 7 days these days.
