Thailand or Siam has never been colonized, nor converted to Communism, nor shut-out from the rest of the world. We remain Buddhist with a strong Monarchy system that have lasted and past the test of time for the last 2000++ years. People also love coming here from all over the world to seek for our uniqueness. Don't mind us, for having a very different style of Royal Rituals to the rest of the world. It is what make us different and very strong 'spiritually' (edited). And yes..we prefer the Monarchy over the bland the Globalism ideals. ' If you Love our food, Respect our culture'

@Jartisann5 жыл бұрын
@@bando713 yes, they did that to us. But we became allies to the japanese, but not colonized. Never lost our independence to colonialism or permanent conquer. And having our age-old traditions still alive and actibve, means we don't succomb to complete globalization either, wheter they come in forms of culture, media, democracy, etc. We are great at adapting, whilst still holding our core strength. In Thailand, we are constitutional monarchy, and people have far more respect for the monarchy than for democracy which is being loathed of right now.

@Jartisann5 жыл бұрын
@Bosss Pansss It is not the same in Thailand. People love the Monarchy and will want it to be here for as long as it can. There is a special difference between Thai Monarchy and other Monarchs. Thai Kings are Buddhists and strictly apply to the 10 Buddhist Code of Conducts of a Benevolent Ruler called the Dasabit RajDharma. The Kings really do practice it for more than a thousand year in Thailand, but traditionally passed on from Buddhist Kings of Ancient India 2,600 years ago. You will not find anything like it in the world. Trust me those 10 rules are very hard to do, yet Thai Kings live up to them under heavy responsibility. And the reward of hard descipline to those moral precepts pay off. His citizens love him from the heart and will trade their lives for him under circumstances. A King is the union of a Buddhist country.

The rituals have strongly Hindu and Buddhist elements because all Thai kings are god-like, specifically the God Rama, the avatar of Lord Vishnu in hinduism. You’ll see the “brahmas” in white clothes, the priests in Hinduism, operating the rituals together with buddhist monks.
