Tbh Early seasons of master chef usa was probably the most organic and realistic competition. It actually felt like a competition for amateurs. People didn't over engineer food, made simple dishes, but just cooked them well. With that they made a lot of mistakes. U would see them completely botch a souffle or a choco lava cake. Apparently the newer participants can make Blumenthal's complex deserts with relative ease 😂. Newer season of aus and usa, and master chef Canada from the get go, have competitors who seem to be way more than amateurs.

The new judges for next season are 2 former contestants and some British guy I've never heard of. Jamie Oliver even expressed interest in being a judge but didn't get it.
