Thanks God they implemented it. It delayed so long.

I'm a bit amazed at this... I use a free program that is a dynamic modeller - it has used this type of selection principle with the same selection techniques and selection filters etc for nearly 2 decades.

The problem is that you are comparing apples and oranges - in this case, a dynamic modeler to a feature-based parametric modeler. You should look at the selection tools in the Creo commands similar to dynamic modeling, like Freestyle and Restyle. They have had these selection methods. As far as standard mode, like I show in the video, the biggest use cases are Copy Geom, Publish Geom, and applying appearances. Even when Creo introduced direct modeling, it incorporated smart selection tools. If you were to compare apples to apples, I think you won't be so shocked.

@@CADPLMGuy CREO is extremely powerful - no debating that. Much more capable than I have and probably will ever have. I'm just saying the Surface selection techniques aren't new. Sure when PTC bought CoCreate Dynanmic modelling, you acquired many dynamic selection methods and some very good staff as well.
